There's probably only a tiny fraction of the Illuvium community that enjoys permanently bonding Illuvitars with items. Some proposals, like paying to unbond them (which I totally support), are already being discussed: https://discord.com/channels/760344898200666112/1299106968098836480
However, why not make things more exciting and introduce some real fun by adding IBG (interconnected blockchain game) mechanics to the cleansing feature? Enter the Trial of Purity!
Mechanic:
1. Select the Illuvitar you want to purify.
2. Sacrifice to Enter:
Burn one unbounded item from your inventory to unlock the trial. For every Item that's **bonded **to the chosen Illuvitar you need sacrifice one **unbounded **Item.
Example: One Item is bonded, so it'll cost one unbounded item. But if 5 are bonded then it'll cost 5 unbounded Items to enter the Trials of Purity!!!
This could be anything, even a stack of clown noses purchased just for this purpose.
3. Assemble Your Champion Deck:
Build a deck (or chose an exciting one) to take on the trials.
4. Face 3 Waves in the Arena (Blitz Chess Style):
- Wave 1: Warm-up.
- Wave 2: A harder challenge.
- Wave 3: Boss fight.
! Higher Tier Illuvitars might have to face more Waves !
Outcome:
Success: All bonded items are removed and returned to your inventory (except the sacrificed items). The Illuvitar is purified and can NEVER enter the Trial of Purity again.
Failure: Bonded items stay, and the sacrifices are lost. But you can retry.
Benefits:
- Adds strategy and skill to cleansing Illuvitars.
- Creates buy pressure for cheap floor items (more traiding fees for the Dao).
- Introduces a burn mechanic for unbonded items, reducing supply.
