Purchase and Gift Selection

You buy the disc as a gift and select a “Send as Gift” option during checkout.
Enter the recipient’s email, a short personalized message, and choose a festive digital wrapping theme (such as a holiday ribbon, winter design, or custom graphic).
Gift Email to Recipient

The recipient receives a beautifully designed email with holiday graphics, announcing, “You’ve Received a Special Gift!”
The email explains that they’ve been gifted an exclusive game disc and includes an activation link.
It also gives a brief overview of Illuvidex, highlighting the excitement of creating a passport to access their gift and start exploring.
Gift Redemption Process

When they click the link, they’re taken to Illuvidex, where they’re prompted to create a passport if they don’t already have one.
They enter their unique code (provided in the email) to access the gifted disc, which opens instantly after they activate their passport.
Invitation to Explore Further

The email includes a call-to-action suggesting they browse more game discs, with a note that special offers or bundles are available for new users.
An optional follow-up email a few days later could remind them of their gift, share helpful tips, and introduce other popular discs on Illuvidex.

I like the idea, but being so close to Christmas already and time being such a precious commodity for the team right now, i'm not sure whether it could be done.
Apart from that though I would love to see a gifting option available. Seems a really good way of onboarding new people into the ecosystem.

I like the idea too but I am so jaded that if I got that email I would probably delete it thinking it was a scam..

Been thinking of a potential solution to this. What if when sending the gift there is the option to select your relationship to the recipient via drop down (brother, dad, friend, etc) and also your name (James, Anna, etc), then when the email is sent, it will contain within the subject and body, Your "brother" "James" has sent you an illuvium D1sk, or something along those lines.
Should help to boost click through and if the recipient did doubt the legitimacy they would know exactly who to contact to confirm, "hey James, did you just send me a gift?", "yeah get it opened!! 😄 ".

Just a thought.
