- Incentivises real players to play all games in the ecosystem such as Zero, OW & Gauntlet as they all provide different cosmetics. Switch them up every 1-3 months.
- Players can earn common, uncommon, rare and even epic cosmetics, but never legendary or mythic. Hooks players into the cosmetics system and leaves them dreaming of legendary/mythic, hopefully converting them to paid in the futurev(rough wording here, not sure on actual tiers).
- No bots as no value as soulbound cosmetics are not tradeable.
- Can be implemented quickly.
#All F2P should earn soulbound cosmetics.

Soul bound (account-bouns) cosmetics will already exist through Beyond (also a gamemode) - so should not be a stret g to have or want then in other modes
Season-based would be best to try and limit the amount needed (1 month mentioned is too short and would Jam up the Art team)
I was mainly thinking of a way to incentivise Zero F2P.
My thinking was say for every 5k fuel you produce you get a decent cosmetic like a battleboard or drone skin, at some point you think "if I actually owned real land that fuel is worth x OW runs or illuvial packs, I might actually buy a plot".
This idea incentivises play across all the games in the ecosystem, as each game could have a different type of cosmetic, refreshed every 1-3 months.
How does Beyond incentivise this kind of interaction?
Makes sense... well there would need to be a way to handle it
The upside for Zero is giving a drone or battle Board to allow them to play other games in the ecosystem
Beyond rewards people who play = I believe the plan is southbound/account bound for completed sets (not 100% sure with all the reworks but this has been mentioned)
As long as it's not too taxing on the art team, and devs, I think soul bound are a great idea - start out small as a test case and then re-evaluate
Even tho it sounds cool to give away freebies to onboard, let the hours of workload sink in.
I don't think it's feasible switching them up and give them away for free every 1-3 months.
This is really not a good reply from Ben. Incentivizing players to play and grind your game provides many benefits to the ecosystem, it's not like some dirty hand out, almost all games have features like that, not everything needs to be about money.
We need both this, and some type of battle pass progression. If competitive seasons are 3-6 months apart, there's plenty of time to craft 1-2 skins or whatever is decided.
sure, would be nice to have.
I guess there are also many "tiers" if it comes to workload per cosmetic.
I feel best could be to create a new cosmetic line, so you leave blasts and emotes to beyond, ranger and drone to zero etc. and make a unique line for something like a free battlepass, where you progress the more you play and do quests, similar to tft.
basically keep workload reasonable but good enough so people play on a regular basis to get them freebies
you could for example add character enhancements like new haircolor, earrings etc.
Yeah we can keep the high workload stuff for an actual battle pass which people pay for, and then some skin or cosmetic or battleboard for seasonal leaderboard rewards, it doesn't seem too demanding or unreasonable, since we already have a ton of good artists.
Yep, the options are so many, it's a shame not to explore.
yea totally
Even a simple 30 day sign-in/log in monthly progression system where you have to login daily to claim your rewards should be implemented, ontop of any battle pass and any leaderboard incentives. The more the better.
Besides creating stickiness, the players should login and feel like there is so much cool stuff to do. Of course the rewards for f2p features should be account bound, or gated behind high difficult unbottable gameplay, while paid progression can offer tradable nfts.
We can also do other daily 'quests' such as play this mode 0/3 times, craft this item, open 5 card packs, level up this creature etc.
Putting all the economic and gameplay benefits aside, it will also serve as a guidance for new players how to progress, instead of feeling lost and wondering what to do.
yea those are already in, just granted you Airdrop points yet.
Should be in-game with a clean UI, other than that its similar to the airdrop, but that was not executed properly although it did provide some positive effect. Move away from the airdrop and replace it with different in-game content.
yea, can easely swap
they were ingame, but looks like need ui upgrade if you haven't seen them 😄
I need to see if I login on Tuesday and do this and that, what will I get as a present
If it's that building in sanctum mesa, definitely need an improvement 😅
If it's the 30 day login thing, it should smack you in the face upon signing in
And then you can also open it with a hotkey in-game
