Leaderboard Marketing

I have played Big Time and other leaderboard and 1 thing they all do they reward players that bring other players in with extra points in leaderboard. As thing's stand right now nobody would just bring competition.

don't you think the programs to support content creators to bring in new people already should be enough?
I don't think it's a wise choice to give away leaderboard points which has nothing to do with gameplay.

ofcorse is not wise for u ... the top players would not bring players in as competition

the creator program gives 0 if nobody spends ... dose not make me move anyway .

why would they not do that if they can earn money if they do with the other programs?

Most don't earn nothing....i brought like 10 ppl... 0 rewards because not everyone has capital to spend.

It's not bad. But some points for sharing would go long way as well.

Like i share to 5 maybe 1 of them 5 would do the same.... just because of that small reward 😉

i just don't think it is a good idea when you create a competitive scene and hand out scores for stuff that isn't gameplay related.
Might wana create a leaderboard just for content creation and hand out some rewards, but don't mix it.

I don't know just throwing it out there. I have seen it work. If everyone would have access to it don't see the problem...even players ho are not content creators have friends they could invite.

All I will say around this subject is that there was some shady stuff going on around the original big time leaderboards and the multipliers players were receiving to boost their ranking = perhaps this has been resolved, I have not been actively following them for a while

There was a way to gamefy the ranking by having one person (say "Leader") and have everyone else use their code to bump them upwards - it created inflated playerbase but not actually new players coming in, just players shifting to new "secondary" accounts to boost the Leader

Personally, being in the top echelon of BT-Leaderboard 1, It felt like there was no way to catch up to the top players due to the unfair points boost / multiplier. It was more disheartening when people beneath me were using this strategy to pass me, which resulted in my needing to spend more $$$ / Day to hold my ranking, instead of stooping down to their level.
