Augment: Illuvial Strength Scanner
Drone or Helmet

This augment provides players with a general idea of an Illuvial’s strength before entering battle or using a shard, adding an extra layer of strategy and engagement. Rather than revealing perfect information, the scanner offers a color-coded or rank-based indicator based on the Illuvial’s relative power:

Color System:

Orange: Extremely strong
Red: Strong
Yellow: Moderate
Green: Weak
Rank System:

S+, S: High tier
A, B: Average
C, D, F: Lower tier
This system helps players make informed decisions when spending shards, while keeping the process fun and interactive. By gamifying the scanning process, it enhances the game without giving away all the stats and maintaining the mystery and excitement around Illuvial captures.

Like the idea of a drone augment with added usecase 👍

I think more simplified merging the colors and the ratings in one. The vebiage you have is a bit confusing (or it's just me)

Orange: Extremely strong = S+, S: High tier
Red: Strong = A, B: Above Average Tier
Yellow: Moderate = C, D = Mid Tier
Green: Weak = F: Lower tier

i was just giving two ideas of how to do it either (or maybe both is fine)

Does scanning cost energy?

I didn't think it would but we could make it replace the 10 enery cost that current scanning does ? i wouldn't think it be needed if you have to craft a helmet or drone attachment . But thats up to the economy team.

what if 50 ergon?

# real turtle what if 50 ergon?

Seems to high , i would think keep the 10 if you want the scanning feature to activate but i would imagine you could just make it do something with the helmet that doesn't do a tom or maybe a drone attahcment up to the team i just like the idea of making seeing stats part of the game not just hey you know everything

Maybe for the first tier of the scanner augment, it starts with just colours for total power range, then the second tier also reveals the total power, and finally the third tier also reveals how many perfect stats there are or something like that?

And it would be awesome if we can have some facts displayed for the Illuvials when we scan them

What if we put the power rating based on tiers Pho_Haha

My tier 4 stage 3 illuvial that i caught with a T5 shard has T2 level stats.

I like the idea of Tiers of Power Scouters ( Tier 1 Splits Them into Good or Bad Top 50% bottom 50% , Tier 2 into A,B,C,D ranks, Tier 3 , S,A,B,C,D, Tier 4 , S+.A,B,C,D kind of sets and maybe a Tier 5 that shows you its 100% of Max STats like 95% but i don't think anything should show perfect stat info

I like this. If we're going to show stats I think the maximum we should see would be the top 3 stats, leaving the other 3 unknown to keep the surprise factor.

Maybe the drone scan gear at stage 1 would only show 1 stat and 3 stats at stage 3.

generally i like the idea, but i would go about this with drone upgrade.
They mentioned that they would give rating (numerical representation of how strong they are) to each illuvial.
Lets use that and color code it.
If rating goes 1-10 we can have:
1-3 green
4-6 blue
7-9 purple
10 (being perfect illuvial) red
(or whatever color codes we want).
What color certain illuvial have can be seen when you click on it in fight, the same way it is now.

S1 drone upgrade can show you colors of T1 and T2 illuvials, S2 drone upgrade can show you color of T1-4 illuvials, while S3 drone upgrade can show you color of all illuvials.

scanning would do what it does right now. No need to complicate it and add a extra layer of work to devs.

This way, we can keep randomness, but still have a rough idea if illuvial we capture will be worth shard we throw at them. + another drone upgrade, i think we need more of those as ones we have lack a bit of diversity.

Imo, if this idea is implemented movement speed needs to be ignored in the code, it's such a useless stat
