Hi Rangers,

I wanted to share some feedback regarding the Encounter Scan feature in Illuvium Overworld and suggest a slight modification to enhance its usability and efficiency.

Current Issue
Right now, the Encounter Scan feature is underutilized by players, and here’s why:

  • Scanning the Encounter currently reveals which Illuvials are present, but it doesn’t allow us to see the stats of the Illuvials.
  • Most players skip scanning because they prioritize engaging with the most rare or highest-tier Illuvial, which they already know will be part of the encounter. Consequently, scanning offers little added value.
  • To see the detailed stats of an Illuvial, we need to enter the encounter, which comes with certain inefficiencies:
  1. If we choose to escape without fighting, we are teleported back to the nearest beacon or obelisk
  2. Waiting for the encounter to load and then leaving feels like an extra step that could be avoided.

Proposed Solution
I suggest a small but impactful improvement to the Encounter Scan feature:

  • Allow players to see the Illuvial stats (health, attack, defense, speed, etc.) directly through the scan before committing to entering the encounter.

Benefits of This Change

  • Increased Utility: Scanning would become an essential part of the exploration experience, as players could quickly assess whether or not they want to engage with the Illuvials based on their stats.
  • Time Efficiency: Players would avoid wasting time entering and exiting encounters just to check stats, particularly if they find an Illuvial that doesn’t fit their desired battle strategy.
  • Better Flow: It would help maintain immersion and game flow, as players wouldn’t be teleported back to beacons or obelisks just for checking Illuvial details.

We recently learned that seeing stats is a bug, the team plan is to fix the bug and there wont be any way to see illuvials stats before you capture

The truth here is they should had already remove the see stats feature, because we Will end up with a lot of acceptable stats illuvials minted compared to future waves, which undervalues the illuvials. If every illuvial is special, then none is.
