All those freebee's given away to onboard new people, or rewards from leaderboards/tournaments should buy fuel at market price if there is a $ value written on the reward/freebee/fuel crate.
If it is bound to top rail as it is now, the first interaction with the IP already feels like a rug.
For example if just got a 15$ giftcard and want to redeem it, i would roughly get 2$ worth of fuel.

Totally. May I add, it doesn't ''feel like a rug''. Its a straight up scam

I understand that you don’t like it. I don’t like it either. But the description you share the screenshot of does in fact state (albeit in the “fine print”) that the fuel crates display value based on “expected fuel price cap”. The fuel price cap is the top rail price. It provides no bonus fuel but it does provide the fuel at the top rail.

It’s not inaccurate.

It’s an old concept that I think should be replaced now that we KNOW exactly how much fuel it is actually worth. (Not usd value but fuel amount)

Words have meaning I guess. When anyone goes to look at the fuel prices they see the fuel price cap.

Only people with experience buying fuel would have any idea that there’s typically a bonus

Btw spoons claim is even more valid, gifting someone $15 which they can only trade for less is more serious imo

Agreed

this really needs to be fixed asap... Why the F would a gift card with a fixed $ value trade for a fuel amount based on the top rail price???

was thought as feedback and not IIP.
To me it's common sense and don't requires to be forced but rather informed because it might have been a major oversight. Similar to the silv2, which i forogot to mention here.
Maybe <@&814435151307866142> can give information if this change is already in work or if it would require an IIP.

# slender drift I understand that you don’t like it. I don’t like it either. But the description...

I purchased fuel crates for 30% discount to the dollar value listed on the crate, a bit prior to the launch of the game, thinking i could now get fuel at a discount, given that it was the approximate value. Alternatively i could have purchased sILV2 for this, but i thought it would turn out exactly the same, given that sILV2 also traded at around 30% discount to ILV at the time. This turned out to be a very bad call given how you guys implemented the fuel purchase bonus system. This concept of bonus fuel etc was introduced at a later stage, we did not have any information at that time on how this would be implemented. That fuel crate value was based on price cap i have not heard talks about. With the current system, a 15 usd is worth 1.5 usd. I have lost close to 500 usd if changes are not made, and other people probably way more. It is impossible to make financial decisions in terms of investments etc when things are constantly changing. A price cap were originally supposed to be introduced to avoid fuel prices to get too high.
