Our first ICC Townhall will take place next Thursday at 5 PM UTC. You can find it in the Events Calendar here in the ILV Discord.

We plan to host them bi-weekly, but we will adjust based on your feedback, engagement levels, and the amount of content we have to discuss.

Are you going to try to implement a bridge between ICC and a team member(s) so that they can be aware what they need to communicate better? Its something i wanted to implement and talked to garf about it so he could relay to the ICC

I have added it to Next week's meeting topics (Thursday) since it just missed this weeks by a couple hours. We brought it up several weeks ago (maybe 2, but with the holidays, we put a hold til the new year)

Hello,

As far as I know, all Illuvials are based on real-world animals.
Atlas is an axolotl, Ramphyre is a pterodactyl, and so on.

I’ve had a question on my mind for a while.
Why was a single Illuvial added to the game that is not based on a real animal but instead on a mythical creature?

I’m talking about Grokko. It’s either a stone golem or a mountain troll. It’s clearly not a real animal.

In the game, a mechanic for burning Illuvials through the creation of skins was introduced.

Unfortunately, this has not solved the problem. Too few Illuvials are being burned, and the rate of acquisition still far exceeds the rate of burning.

Will a more impactful system for burning Illuvials be introduced in the future?

This is the question that interests me the most. Could you please clarify how exactly this feature will work? The more details, the better.

@crisp zenith thanks for continuiing to champion. Putting the 19:1 issue with a mathematical model on day 3 of mainnet to Aaron. This was so obvious out of the gates once I understood that fuel would not be a ERC-20 NFT and levered derivative on the in game generation with an off chain token redemption system for ETH. Overall, really poor execution that has greatly diminished confidence in the project from a landholders perspective.

IMC minutes stated Perry back in November was to bring forward a plan for the "3:1" fuel migration and standardizing the fuel pricing system. Why is this not implemented? Why has a better fiat on ramp not been implemented? Why is a roadmap and plan not communicable at this stage to the entire DAO?

Every stage suitline currently has a set of vfx masks. St3 is just the most complete.

Hi, Illuvination!

First of all, I want to thank you for yesterday’s tournament. It was truly engaging and exciting!

Now, about the Illuvials. To be honest, I don’t fully understand how everything will work yet. Here’s how I see it:
We’ll open disks containing Illuvials, and different Illuvials will come out of them. The principle will probably be similar to acquiring Illuviatars. This means that only Illuvials with top-tier stats will hold value, while the rest will essentially be useless.

You mentioned increasing the player base. But won’t this growth lead to an even greater number of generated Illuvials?

For example, if we look at IlluviDex right now, we can already see a vast number of Illuvials across all tiers, most of which are worth almost nothing. An increase in the player base doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll start buying up these low-value assets. More likely, new players will aim for top-tier Illuvials or open disks themselves, which would, in turn, generate even more weak Illuvials.

Please correct me if I’m misunderstanding anything or missing an important point.

You are right; there are some nuances to consider, though.

  • We have a disproportionate amount of Illuvials because the player base has been shrinking.
  • The current fuel system is broken. At the moment, you can acquire Illuvials at practically no cost, just through time investment, which is flooding the market.
  • Currently, we have no system in place that incentivizes ownership.

I would strongly favour fixing all of these issues (and the many others I haven’t mentioned) rather than pushing for hardcore burning while we’re still in open beta.

Also, I like that, for example, Ownership Ascendant—if it ever returns—has a super low entry barrier. You could buy full teams for, say, five bucks, which makes the entry barrier for future ownership-dependent game modes very low and helps with onboarding.

@reef nacelle @plush whale @crisp zenith What if arena returned with 'fight for fuel'? If you lose a battle, then the loser must burn some of it illuvials that convert into fuel and go to the winner? Built in competitive burn mechanic while stimulating the use of fuel that creates a virtuous cycle and flywheel for the economy. ILV needs a flywheel desperately to get healthy. This would bring back the excitement of having stacks for fights without technically wagering and incentivize more competitive players to enter the space. Note: This project had the most hype and excitement when the tagline of 'fight for ETH' was the main thing...interest has dwindled ever since.

With an unclear timeline on the OW relaunch and the likely need to do another capital raise for it, can we get some info as to why we aren't utilizing "Leviathan" Survival or "Leviathan" PvE Roguelike Arena modes to fill in the gap between Gauntlet and OW relaunches?

From my limited understanding, that would be a simple and efficient use of development resources to acquire and retain players with highly replayable and dynamic content, is it not?

I was thinking in terms of a Leviathan mode that can supply a compelling alternative value prop to TFT focused on the Asian market who play autobattlers and love to gamble. North America and most of Europe are not going to engage regardless if it’s free because auto battlers do mot resonate. Gauntlet will still serve as activation/onboarding mode as planned. Bottomline is we must get fuel burning and scarcity for illuvials built or this train is coming to a halt at this stop or the next if any VCs want to invest in a four year old startup with no recurring revenue that resembles a comic art studio business model.

This does sound about right. The problem I see here is that Labs wants to allocate all their resources toward Gauntlet and then Overworld: A New Dawn. It doesn’t seem "worth it" to broaden the focus again to cater to a small player base with a product that is meant to be somewhat of a placeholder for the other projects, especially if it means delaying those projects.

To my understanding, based on conversations with Aaron, features like an improved survival mode—more in line with Gauntlet—and possibly co-op features will come after Gauntlet and the new Overworld.

  4. With the current proposed structure it all depends on Leviathan being a success. 🤞 Also I did a lot of my Illuvial aquisitions based on speculating on future games etc. even if they are far away.

Hello, what is the guide route for airdrop development? Which is its objective? Next season is still considered over 12k ILV? Season 4 is going to have something different? The game has been paused since a while.

IIP-68 made it so that future rewards need to be approved by the IMC.
Im trying to explain to you how future incentive works with IIP-68 and im asking you and the ICC to refrain from giving info about S3
