Thoughts on having 2 modes with several different queues, (casual, ranked, leviathan) on a relatively small playerbase, resulting in longer queue times and not enough engagement in each?

Are battle passes tied to ranked/leviathan considered? With special skins and rewards based on completion and rank? Is it legally possible to share a part of the revenue generated through the battle passes with the players who participate in it?

How far away, a rough estimate, is Multiplayer from going live, 6 months, 12, etc? Do we have an idea what it's going to look like, what would a group of multiple players be after? Is any additional content, such as dungeons or raids considered, to take advantage of having multiplayer?

This appeal expresses the collective opinion of players from Russia.
With respect, we write to you, as your enormous work inspires us!

As you know, players in Russia are experiencing access issues.
Currently, the Overworld mode is unavailable to us.

Problem Description:
When entering the game without a VPN, players do not receive in-game NFTs due to transaction issues.
When entering with a VPN, an error occurs: 403 Forbidden & Local Time Not In Sync, making further gameplay impossible.

Methods We Tested:
We did not use public VPNs; our guild has its own server with a clean VPN, but access through it is also unavailable.
Changing the IP and VPN did not help.
Changing the device's date and time settings did not resolve the issue.

Rationale for Seeking a Solution:
I am the primary content creator in the Russian-speaking zone and the head of the Monarch guild.
We couldn't connect to the game for the last 2 days of beta testing and up to the present.
The mainnet launch is soon, but we don't have access.
Feedback monitoring shows growing panic and FUD.

Players are concerned about their assets: staking, lands, airdrop rewards, and other in-game values.
Uncertainty about the future and missed opportunities to join the mainnet launch cause financial risks.
We are trying to calm the players while awaiting a resolution.

What We Propose:
Organize a closed thread for discussing the situation with the project's leadership. We can provide delegates and necessary information.

With the current small player base it is unacceptable that a small number of bots can completely stop one of the games base functions (minting NFTs). Is imx still the right solution or will it kill Illuvium?

We need to hire a community engagement manager and a junior social media manager, it’s inexcusable updates have been dropping without any notice,

There should be dev updates every 3 days and community announcements/engagement updates every 1-2 days, included in the updates should be the following considerations.

  1. brief update from each working department working on game functions
  2. Engagement campaign directly for the community
  3. Directors update / overall visions strategy brief update

We have a game launched and nobody knows what’s being worked on, or being fixed; we also have zero look in on what the macro vision is working toward and hence a lot of FUD is being spread, with nobody on the mod / discord mod team able to back it up because they simply do not have the information

Updates should be syndicated to both discord, twitter, website patch notes / article and close community content creators, we need to start building back a community here again

Just to add to @Dexter's question, silence creates panic. This is announcement channel traffic over the recent past. If everything was so hype prior to Season 1, how can we possibly think things are going to be okay if there's NOTHING about Season 2? The Announcement channel has not been this silent since the "official launch." What is the reason (if any) for ceasing communications? In Crypto, silence often means "rug," and if not for Rich and a few others answering direct questions, there would normally be a stampede away from the project in this situation.

When can we expect some quality-of-life enhancements to (a) the Illuvidex or (b) the Marketplace? Things like saved filters, tagging, folders -- any organization layers that we can maintain in our profile are much needed. For Marketplace, some sort of "order book" on any non-unique item (e.g. shards, ingots) is sorely needed. Low-cost items are only in the Marketplace for seconds, but unavailable the instant you try to buy them. Even if there is a single "standard price," for instance, "Rare Shard," clicking the first few of them is almost always pointless.

If we are farming for airdrop points, or rankings, or just about anything "season-related," but the rules change on us during that time, it can be extremely frustrating. No one will complain about bug-fixes ("we patched to fix minting issues!"), but new features or big nerfs to existing features like (cough) fuel production (cough, cough) seem particularly hard to swallow during a season. Is there any thought to moving feature patches to Season Boundaries? This would also create hype to jump into the next season if we get updates like, "Coming for Season 3: Arena leaderboards and ranking go live Day 1! And don't miss the new Overworld combat system. Also, MEGACITIES!"

Have the back-end option and availability to disable augments in arena/gauntlet that are bugged so they wont show up anymore until they are fixed/enabled again. These should be disabled immediately by someone once the bug is found.

Leviathan Gauntlet Ranked + Casual Gauntlet Ranked

Add:
Priority and Secondary for "favorited" illuvials to be first shown when choosing that specific illuvial from the gauntlet shop, instead of it automatically choosing your highest lvl illuvial.
So we choose which of our specific stat illuvials we actually want to be in the gauntlet.
(if we can do this within the game without going out to a website, that would be more interesting perhaps)

Than, tournaments for qualified players who make certain ranked divisions like Gold and Diamond if those are the top 2 ranks.

Add the emotes in Gauntlet.
Put chat in gauntlet, including VOICE CHAT. Voice Chat in gauntlet can have option of muting player.
Voice Chat is only active to the player youre playing against, not all 8 can hear at same time, only the player youre fighting.
(we need these things for content and engagement)

Of course milestone/reward points for Gauntlet as well.
If anything, we can do competitive rewards for tournaments, which dont necessarily have to be milestone events, more so get reward for being skilled in winning or placing in tournaments.

Competitive play should be the priority, also prioritize getting rangers together spawning in sanctum mesa, running around, voice proximity (w/ option to mute), this will bring engagement, fun, showcasing skins to other players, etc.

What you find is what you get, if you want better stats, buy from the marketplace.

PRIORITIZE COMPETITIVE GAMEPLAY / KEEP ACTIVE

There should be Gauntlet events/tournaments AT THE LEAST once per week.
Both Casual and Leviathan.

I hope you all understand that Competitive Gameplay (Gauntlet/Arena) is THE most important to prioritize. Why?
We buy fuel to go into overworld to farm for illuvials to use in competitive and/or sell to competitive players.
Thus all aligned with Competitive Gameplay.

THUS, simple math, the more popular and active competitive modes are, aka Gauntlet/Arena, the better everything else connected to it becomes.

#Economy What happened to the lands?
initially, the white paper stated that the lands are the only source of fuel. After their appearance, the lands were sold for 16+ ether.
people bought the lands and their price dropped significantly.
after the price dropped and the mainnet was released, you removed the condition that the lands are the only source of fuel and the DAO began to produce 95% of the fuel itself, and the land owners now compete with each other on the principle of who will set a lower price so that their fuel will be sold for pennies.
When buying lands at current prices, their payback period is 2.5 years or more.
people who bought lands at early prices will not be able to recoup the lands in 10 years, due to fuel production.

Why did you do this?
I got the impression that you are simply scamming people.

What features will be introduced with Beyond Wave 3? -three subquestions:

Will we have Wallet 2FA integration?

Will there be Collection rewards and their implementation in-game (Including Battleboards, Emotes, Drone Attacks)?

Will leaderboard rewards resume with the coming of wave 3? If that is the case, this may feel like an underhanded trick to some who got top 100 previously, and now will have to spend on wave three again to get the rewards they were already promised.

But this other way, you technically are paying the player that farmed in overworld, it helps with scarcity, helps the marketplace of all sorts of illuvials.

#Economy One of the main advantages of a Mega City was no need to build a Nexus on every plot as an example, a big time saver when you are talking a few key buildings. Having to do this have meant a truck load of unnecessary resurces/time has been spent.

I didn't see a CEO. The whole vibe was more like a parent frustrated by their several rowdy children after coming home from their 12 hour shift. ("There are so many charts ...")

I'd like to know what he works on. What's coming down the road, man? When you are in the office, what are the three parts of this project that absolutely, positively must be delivered before the end of the year? Which rocks are you pushing up this hill?   1. What are the specific 'Fair Play Guidelines' that rangers are to follow to ensure they are not flagged as 'cheaters'? I know a lot of people had the funds voided and even some completely banned and they feel very cheated and confused because no one can say what they did exactly. Multiple mods were saying multiple accounts is fine but then that is apparently not allowed and caused for penalty. Very confusing and just seems so simple (and pertinent) to have these guidelines and rules posted for everyone to refer to. Apparently it may not be posted because people could tweak bots to abide by them but isn't the main thing that constitutes cheating is to use bots? What is the protocol/system in place to detect bots, and has it been improved/fixed so that it doesn't flag normal human players? (I believe that was the main issue causing players to be mistakenly flagged as bots last season - please correct me on all accounts).

  1. I am sure there is a specific reason... but why can't the fuel sales/purchases just be based on a truly free market? I struggle to sell fuel at the absolute lowest amount possible for days and would like to be able to just sell it almost immediately even if it's cents on the dollars - I assume just not enough demand for the fuel right now? The current system just seems so complicated so I assume that's the issue. Doesn't make much sense to invest time or money into a plot to craft fuel that can't be sold... if the overall issue is supply still exceeding demand - do you have specific and quantifiable strategies to increase the demand of fuel?

  1. Where can rangers (especially new ones that are just coming into the world of ILV and want to learn) find specific information about the games? There are literally hundreds of questions that are asked to mods daily that could just be answered in a written guideline/ so that players can refer to it when information is needed. Essentially like Illuvidata, but for extremely basic information - the information that is literally coded in the Illuvials, augments, etc. I noticed some of the augment's verbiage changed and was updated, that is helpful. I think an inclusive guideline of ALL the information would be so helpful for everyone. There used to be a Medium doctrine of sorts but it doesn't seem to be updated last time I checked. The overall lack of communication to the users seems to be negatively affecting the growth/adoption. Have you considered hiring a person that would be responsible for posting/communicating all protocols/systems - not a community manager (Rich is the man), but a 'systems manager' responsible for communicating all regulations/information/data to the community and ensuring that no hiccups like the seasons airdrops occurs again.

When will the fuel production be increased for land owners, the patch that decreased each plots production by 4x was a severe action that has had a dramatic impact on the land value and the reason to own it. Fuel prices have not increased. I personally bought the land to fuel me and my 8 year old sons trips to the overworld to catch Illuvial's. But I also bought the land to make some passive income while enjoying building up my land. So this change has really concerned me. This game needs to make retail investors money too, not just seed investors.

I couldn't agree with you more. I've seen many angry, frustrated landowners give up & list their land for sale. I was under the impression you could make a bit of passive income at some point & have fun farming your land. Now it's extremely frustrating and I can't generate enough fuel to keep needed items upgraded on my T1 plot. I am a widow now on social security and it would be nice to have the plants give coins once again when you cleared them instead of resources because it jams up my storage facilities instead of helping me. I can't do most of the missions, as well, to earn points because they're unattainable with one fuel resource and completely full storage, not to mention extremely snailpaced fuel production to get needed upgrades completed.

Do you think it is acceptable to have a bunch of broken augments when it completely breaks every arena game mode (survival, ascendant, gauntlet)? Just to explain the current state - some illuvials with certain augment can deal over a million damage in a single round. Consider extending seasons to be 3-4 months with one or two weeks breaks? This will assure the season rewards to be in-sync with vesting period and just give ppl time to touch grass. This will also give a break to the team and they can finalise the rewards outcome, updates/patches, reconsider things.
I think 1 months season without breaks is too much preasure to players..

I am assuming that supply of fuel still exceeds the demand for it.... can you share the exact metrics - How much fuel is purchased daily? How much is sold? (I'd assume it's the same, but considering how the 'market pricing' is working out and how long it takes to sell fuel at the lowest possible price I really don't know how exactly it's being calculated/tracked. Most important part of the question though is just how much fuel is actually being purchased daily.... it seems like almost nothing- one could just save money by buying the Illuvials and weapons needed to compete in Arena and save a lot of money instead of trying to capture/forge them in OW. What is the specific plan to increase demand? Imo, OW isn't that much fun in itself - I'd imagine the most popular game is Arena - have we thought about maybe creating away for Arena to cost fuel to play or maybe as an option to bet fuel in an Arena match? I just don't see the OW fuel demand catching up to the supply of the fuel that landowners are producing with the current model.

Can we get updated verbiage on some of the augments/info on Illuvials and such for Arena? I don't know what some of them even mean... one says something to the affect of 'Critical attacks gain 3 stacking attack'. I assume that means attack damage but I don't know - then all of the bugs make me wonder what is a bug/not working and what I just don't understand the verbiage of. Please please please provide some specific clarity with this info, and all of the questions that get asked and all of the data throughout the games in general.

I can only speak for myself, but I am more interested in answers that have specific numbers and measurable information.
