After playing it for a bit i can say that this doesn't really take any skill and thinking. Before you tried your best to get as far as possible with what you had. Yesterday i got to wave 53 and the biggest effort was restarting until i got the correct deck and just a bit of repositioning after w40. So very soon people will figure out the best team and its variations and it will be down to rerolling the deck and who is luckier at 50+ waves.
Issues:
Ascention token loss on checkpoints isn't fixed, i even encountered new features like disappearing token during preparation and auto start of the wave. This is crucial if we just have 1 try with the deck.
"Wave 40 is no longer the final wave. It's up to you to discover what the new final wave is!" - stated in the patch notes, but you still get the ending screen (check my ss below), it doesn't work without restart.
Poor wave balance. In one of the runs i faced an insane wave around 20 with 2 really good augments on every enemy and abyssal purge on half of the team. I mean we had insane waves before around this wave counter, but i don't think to this extent.
