#Active skills/abilities in Arena

The arena auto-battler is a little bit too uninvolved during the fights. I think it would be fun to have active skills/spells added into arena to put a bit more player involvement and strategy to the mix. These would be active skills that can be picked and swapped before battle and have certain requirements needed to be met before being usable. You could add another dimension of having to guess your opponents strategy by hiding one or two of the spells from view. Maybe a trap skill that triggers when certain requirements are met?

Some spells might need to be charged up by defeating a certain number of Illuvials first, maybe some spells only need a cd timer to activate, maybe a spell can only be activated if you're down to your last Illuvial, or maybe some spells require fuel 🤔

Different spell ideas could be like:

  • a temporary barrier that blocks movement/projectiles
  • a targeted AOE that reduces attack speed
  • a few seconds of immunity to the lowest health Illuvial
  • the next 3 projectiles can pierce all Illuvials and objects

I think the team can get pretty creative with this and it'd add another layer of strategy and fun to the arena.

I agree, adding powers that could actually afect the ongoing battle like wall, tornado, death hole spot, vertical power ray or whatever would be fun
