#Reduce the airdrop rewards until growth prospects are obvious

  1. The game currently doesn't have the features to draw new players (no credit card on boarding, no arena leaderboards, lack of OW collection building awards/recognition, etc.)
  2. The project is not being wise with the airdrop budget as it is currently slanted toward investors/stakeholders who would play regardless of airdrop rewards being present. Said another way, the cost of player acquisition given the current growth rate is highly unfavorable.
  3. Save the airdrop rewards for future game builds that can draw in net new players.
  4. Rework the milestones to align with progressive Overworld collection building, Arena leaderboards, and Zero progression. There are many threads on this topic already.
  5. Reduce the next 2-3 seasons of airdrop rewards to 5K or less and allocate them to future seasons when additional game features make new player acquisition costs more favorable

Full Disclosure: I am a land holder, staker, and active player. I would rather see the project be wise with the airdrop budget than use it prematurely on OW/Arena/Zero game builds that are not primed for new player acquisition.

generally, i agree that there might be a huge mismatch between the size of the airdrop and the player acquisition and/ retention. however, id like to see the numbers first

You are aware that season 2 starts the minute season 1 ends, right? There is no "meantime"

Also, it was well publicised that we will have a 180k coin airdrop during the next 6 months. Abandoning promises like that would cause a major loss of trust in the project,, and that's not what we need.

We just need to structure each season in a way that rewards spending behaviour and the airdrop can be a great tool

the airdrop was originally over 5 months and then we changed it to 6 months. I guess we could stretch it more until we figure out what to do

Maybe change tactics to attract players from giving them money, to reinvesting that money on creating a better game
My friends complained about how boring overworld is, not how much money they get

Well I think we got our answer that Season 2 wasn't reworked and is largely a continuation of Season 1. This is what I was hoping the project would avoid.

Agreed, airdrop feels like a waste right now. Is it bringing new people into the ecosystem, or is it just a funnel for stakers like me that would be playing even without the airdrop? I'd rather see it extended over the next 8-9 months and have the token distribution ramp up each season as the number of players grows, botting gets progressively more under control, and the crypto market gets less bearish. Seeing the numbers would be very helpful though, maybe the airdrops working great, but revenue does not seem aligned with current distributions and runway.

Agreed that it will upset the current playerbase short term, but it will help them and everyone long term. Didn't the airdrop already change by reducing the wave 40 point allocation to resolve the botter issue? Adjustment with strong benefit will still be upsetting but potentially worth it. Maybe it would have to be a voted matter so the current player base doesn't feel like they got snaked.

need the games to get better and market to recover.
i dont feel the amount of airdrop is justified for the current player number and revenue.
we can lengthen the P2A campaign (reduce monthly airdrop) or pause it like some people have suggested
