Making everything "auto" takes away some fun.
Once the combat and the companion come live, one arena mode could be a 1v1 pvp.
The ranger and one illuvial vs enemy ranger and one illuvial.
The illuvials will be on auto, and the ranger will fight with a weapon in combat style.
Verry intensive, verry fun, verry demure!

I agree this could be interesting but I think we should focus on existing game for now. Arena is an autobattler, I think what you are describing is something similar to what combat in overworld will be.

Yes, and once it will be available in ow, it will be very easy to implement it in arena against other players you wish to duel with from sanctum mesa

Yes, but calling it arena can be confusing as arena already exists and it's not the same type of game. Could be called Gladiator or whatever

I like the idea of a gladiator mode in a 3rd person OW style with 1-3 summoned auto illuvials while you actively fight with your ranger. I don't think controlling your ranger in the overhead Arena style game we have now would really land well tbh.
