#Pause the integrity system for Illuvials

I often argued that the playtime we get for one run isn't enough in comparison with the money we spend.
We often saw the argument that OW is still in development and that upcoming features would allow us to address this problem in the future.
For the time being I think allowing people to have unlimited fights during one run is a good compromise.
What would change:

  • less punishing to lose fights. This is especially important for new players
  • xp is easier to get, which makes the game easier. This could be seen as downside, but I think the game is still punishing enough, because it is still important to win important encounters
  • Way more playtime/$
  • Illuvials with good stats are easier to get. This would just raise the bar, but would still include a lot of work, even, if less money is needed.
  • rarity of captureable Illuvials wouldn't change
  • The amount of ore, plants or Illuvials we get out of one run won't change
  • Prices don't have to change as much, because people can basically just start shooting the first Illuvial they encounter and start fighting it. This would lead to a more fluent player experience, which could cause web2 players to look more favorable on the game until we introduce new features.

Also keep in mind that we already have ways to basically accomplish this, but that these ways are extremely grindy and boring.
Late down the line with new feature we could reintroduce the system if necessary.

What I would do if there was no integrity: go to a tier 2 region with level 15-20 illuvials, and don't exit until I've leveled them to 60 a couple of weeks later

Also, with this system in place the best alternative, aside from using a lot of plants, is to enter an encounter, check stats, espace if stats are bad, run back to the location you started the encounter at. This is obv. not a good gameplay loop...

The Ringnuts Mechanic is interesting, but I do agree.
I think we overengineered here and worsened the user experience.
