#Allow gauntlet fusion with less Illuvials

As you guys know some synergies aren't really accessible in gauntlet, which makes balancing gauntlet and ascendant simultaneously difficult.
I think the disparity in terms of accessible comps for these two modes could be reduced if we allow to reach Stage 3 with 6 Illuvials instead of 9.
Stage 1 --> Stage 2 with 3 Stage 1 Illuvials
Stage 2 --> Stage 3 with 2 Stage 2 Illuvials
With that we would open the door for a lot more comps to be accessible in the process of one gauntlet match.

In general we copied the tft system with the 9 unit requirement for a stage 3 fusion, but our system with composites is quite different from tft which has a system that only uses basic affinities and classes. Therefore, I think it would be an improvement to adjust our system regarding this deviation.

Aside from the change proposed above I could see that moving all composites for classes and affinities to the Stage 2 Illuvials of their respective lines, would be an option, but that would also be very confusing, because OW/Ascendant would have different composites. So, maybe, the first idea is the better one. What do you guys think? Idea 1, 2 or neither?

The trait distribution limits the comps a lot in gauntlet right now but id like to see ranger integration + the first balance patch before thinking of greater changes

Other then getting good traits stage 3 units arent worth getting on their own right now

The illuvials are balanced for the 40-65-90 (Tier 4 example) but in gauntlet its 1-3-9 so the stage 3 need to be much stronger. It will definitely be a challenge to try to balance for both modes, im looking forward to see how the team address this

I think a Better Option is to increase the base level of illuvials when combined ( so a stage 1 is a level 1, a stage 2 is a level 20 and a stage 3 is a level 40 ) this will give rank ups a Power Up and make staying at lower levels even better and open up more of the comps that require a Stage 3 of tier 1

I think it would be better to either make the stage 3 Illuvial stronger or
make it easier to be stage 3,
but I think it would be more interesting to take advantage of the many synergies
so it would be better to make it easier to be stage 3 as igyron said.

The problem right now is not the difcutly to make stage 2's and STage 3's its that you can't afford to Stay at level 3 or 4 so when your playing your rewarded to heavily for pushing striaght to level 5 ( becuase even if you hit stage 2's they will be swarmed by tier 1 's faster ) this is why i think we will see a 100% diffrent meta with levithan gauntlet becuase you will be more rewarded for pushing stages than levels . I just thinkw e need to mirror that in non levithan gauntlet

I'd prefer keeping the current system but adding ways to get more illuvials like in TFT where you can copy the character of your choice

this one is a little more complex isnt it?

also you could say its just change a number from 3 to 2, thats true. But that problem rises from straight up copy-pasting tft model into a game that does not work in the same way, because of the composite synergies like you very well mentioned and of course some other things.
Yours is a proposal for a solution to a problem that is, in my opinion, very basic in terms of game development.
In other words, putting a little thought into the game structure would've probably risen this 'not being able to use composite synergies' issue at the very beggining.

sorry to change the subject, perhaps this wasnt the place. Coming back to your proposal it might be a good solution. making most s ynergies accesible is definitely an issue that has to be addressed
