Thanks for the help @fallow pebble

Abstract
This proposal will enable Illuvium Labs to mint up to $15,000 USD worth of prizes consisting of Emote D1sks and a range of Fuel crates each month. This will be distributed as prizes during Illuvium sanctioned events.

Overview/Implementation
Every single month Illuvium Labs would have the ability to mint any number of Fuel Crates or emote D1sks as long as it doesn’t exceed $15,000 in value. These NFTs must be used during gaming events whether it be giveaways, participation prizes, podium prizes or any other relevant reason.

For full transparency, the quantity of items minted should be disclosed to the Council and Community in an appropriate manner at the end of every month.

Any leftover spend will not be rolled over to subsequent months.

Rationale/Objectives
Illuvium has been sponsoring community hosted events for the past 6 months such as the Illuvial hunts by Hyperion and Phantom as well as past Ascendant tournaments hosted by Phantom and Wildfire. Although these have seen varying success, the recent hunts have garnered large community support and seen growing crowds over the past weeks.

Although Labs could continue distributing ILV as prizes, it makes more sense in terms of player retention to use other NFTs and prizes for the events as well. Fuel crates would enable winners to further explore the Overworld and even help newer participants build up their Illuvium team through exploration.

Conclusion
Illuvium’s strong point has always been its IP. By extension, using things like Emote D1sks and extra ‘gameplay time’ as prizes for events makes a lot of sense in driving new and existing users further into the Illuvium marketing funnel.

I fully support keeping any kind of rewards within the game economy loop, as it benefits the ecosystem.

Great idea! Would love to have some of these assets for the world famous Inferno tournaments 🍃🔥

I like the idea of doing this...

"PRIZE ALLOCATION" should be more widespread for any an all items available for sale. So I would find a way for the IIP to be worded in such a way to allow for other items to be minted

So this could be anything from the "cosmetic store", "d1sks", etc.

Dig this, cool idea to keep excitement within the economy

but the winner can still sell the NFTs

I love the idea but why not including battle boards and d1sks too?

$15k seems a bit much for the first months, wouldn't it be better to take a percentage up to a certain absolute threshold?

Like 1% of revenues up to $30k

That's why I'm not as into more of them. And this would be more targeted events. We did the analysis before on d1sks when we did giveaways more than events and giveaways ppl sell them yes. Events where ppl are actually participating tend to use them. The hope is someone takes that fuel crate and goes into the overworld after their event catches some thing cool and wants to keep playing

The stuff we mint is “free” to dao at this point if its already artwork done. So if we mint some but not too many to dilute I think its a net positive. Can't say it will directly increase revenue yet but can foster good community, viral nature of things being shown off and ppl like to win things.

Can Labs spend 15k on Crates and then do nothing with them? Or are we minting them as we are giving them away?

My question is because this is unclear to me.

Every single month Illuvium Labs would have the ability to mint any number of Fuel Crates or emote D1sks as long as it doesn’t exceed $15,000 in value.

Are we minting 15k per month? Or are we minting how ever much we need when giving away? Or can we just mint and then have a 30k giveaway in a month?

#

Can we make items like Crates non-tradeable after you receive them? I guess that would need quite a lot of dev time we don't want to spend.

I see most of the times things are unclear to you, mhhh

It’s not meant to exceed 15k in a month. If we do all less than 15k in a month than we still have 15k that next month. As far minting all 15k worth that’s not my intent it’s on an event basis. I have 3 events that need 1k worth of prizes I have ITOps mint 3k worth before the events. I don’t want to mint 7.5k in D1sks and 7.5k in crates if 1. We don’t need to use them all 2. Maybe one preforms or is liked better than the other 3. We can change it up if we add more stuff like battle boards

This should only be for IN GAME events. Let outside companies buy/sponsor their own events still, but this money should be Illuvium-sponsored, in-game supported, events.

Crates being non tradeable would need some work yes but a possible solution we could explore

Not for like a twitter giveaway or something

#

We can change language if needed

Now I get it after re-reading but ya, it should clearly define that Illuvium Labs is putting this on AND it should be represented as part of the "Missions" tab (my opinion) or a new Events tab within the game application

Currently going to use ILV for this week as we did in testnet because this IIP will be going through the process

#

Would much rather give out something that we can mint rather than ILV

#

Especially if it in turn gets them into the overworld and possibly spending

I just hope Illuvium makes enough money to back up everything we're giving away.
