I LOVE THIS GAME!
But after hundreds of runs, T0 and T1 players will not find the combat engaging or fun fighting only 1-2 enemies in T0 and 3-4 enemies in T1. They get a team of 8 illuvials to play strategically, but will never be able to use all 8 in a fight. They never find a challenging fight literally ever. This results in boring gameplay. Uninteresting fights. No thought needed.
In addition, the Illuvial XP gains at T0-T1 is practically nothing. How are T0 players supposed to earn the XP required to fuse their fresh T0 stage 1 illuvials? They simply can't, even after dozens of runs they wouldn't be able to fuse even one Stage 3.
It would be so smart for us to give these players a challenge. Sure, there should be easier fights with 1-4 illuvials in the battle for new players to go against for T0-T1 playeres, but there should be matches with up to 12 illuvials even in T0.
Make T0 and T1 players have to think strategically, use their scan to see if they can win a fight with their current set of illuvials, give them a chance at earning more XP to fuse the illuvials they have, and give them a preview of what the epic illuvials can do in combat when they get their ass kicked by the ocassional Umbre or Rhamphyre.
Lastly, I'd suggest making T2 nearly as hard as the current T3 combat (up to 7-12 illuvials, but maybe mainly Stage 1/2 illuvials present), and making T3 even harder with 10-16 illuvials (not every fight has 16, but make it so that you have to bring your A+ list of illuvials to have a chance at winning when there are 16 illuvials, even with power ups). This will make the combat much more interesting and engaging for veteran players, and really force them to think strategically. Current T3 combat is a great challenge for an early game deck, but once you have a good team it is easy to win nearly every fight without much thought. These changew ill make the game more fun and engaging for all players!
