Will keep it quick, people don't necessarily have all day to do overworld runs and not every solution should be go buy it off the marketplace. Hence considering once a day stage 1,2,3 quick sessions could be a balanced solution to letting our players capture illuvials in the future while reducing the unnecessary amount of time spent in the overworld, and keeping the balance by not purely going the card pack route.

The idea is relatively simple, Quick sessions will allow people to do a mini game esque version of overworld runs rather than being dropped into the overworld and spending a considerable sum of time roaming the map to locate high priority targets before deciding which plants ores and illuvials to go after and how to set up your last 5 minute ergon jumping sprint.

It goes by presenting players with say 3 cards representing illuvial encounters, ore deposits, plants, shards, etc. Basically what you find in the overworld already. Players can choose one of the selected cards and spend the appropriate amount of their 4000 starting energy to either collect the ores or plants presented, or engage in combat with the presented illuvial. There will be no option to skip the selection in order to preserve the value of taking the time to do proper overworld runs and there will be no ergon rift equivalents further helping to balance the value of the time players spend playing overworld and the time saved choosing the mini game mode.

The mode continues until you have no energy left or less than what is needed to collect the cheapest resource.

This would create a solid balance of spending as little time as possible on capturing for those who can't spare it with those who can and allow our more time limited players (primarily the adults who have money to spend but not time) the opportunity to fill out their collection without always having to resort to the marketplace. More importantly it gives them more time to play the modes they really care about.
