Curing shards with fuel is way to expensive.
You pay to get into the world and I think thats enough... Having to pay for the shards aswell its a big Ick!
When bad rng happens, its just like throwing money on the street...
Counter solution to this could be to use T0 shards to cure higher shards.
This would incorporate T0 stage for some use.
You know if im tired of min/maxxing stages i can go farm T0 and chill out.

I like this idea, we could also create a burn mechanism for illuvials within this concept.

i wanna add aswell, this might be a unpopular opinion but if you need a fuel sink, better put with fusing.
In case of fusing I dont really think you feel like you are missing out that much like with the fuel for shards
