Just like to start by saying I'm loving everything gameplay wise so far. Team nailed it + cinematic and tutorial was top tier. I would just like to give my feedback and gauge others opinion on the current missions/milestones, of which seem to have not changed at all from the last pre season airdrop.

Milestones in particular are quite confusing to me. We have been told that the airdrop is split into months - so if I completed all the milestones this month - would I just be expected to capture & forge everything again the following month? Would it be better to wait to later months to start capturing/completing milestones so there's less competition for points? Mostly this just stems from no further clarification on how milestones will change month to month etc.

There also has been no update to daily/weekly tasks it looks like. I'm not sure who is going to go into a paid run to catch 10 morphopods per day - but these kind of quests are still there. Some of the milestones are just ridiculous also - play 5000 arena / capture all T3S3s in holo over something like "complete collection"

It would be great if we could get some clarification on what these milestones will look like in the future. Is it just month 1 that focuses more on capturing and later ones will be arena/gauntlet etc.?

IMO a good way to solve some of these things would be:
Milestones are only mulitipliers - and these carry over month to month. So any player can come in and catch up no matter when they start, while early players aren't punished for all completing their milestones in the first month and competing for the same point allocation
This puts a bigger focus on daily/weekly tasks to get your points - keep people coming back playing regularly. These also need a bit more focus on the more fun/replayable parts of illuvium - capturing illuvials (capture a nature, a holo etc.) and doing well in pvp (e.g. place in top 4 in gauntlet) etc.

I heard about the airdrop seasons but do we know it resets monthly? Sounds weird, I wonder what they have in mind. If it's the same missions/milestones but reset to 0 it's gonna be an epic fail

1 month per season doesn't make sense, it should be 2, ideally 3 so people can have a life. The arena mode milestone of playing 10,000 games and winning 5,000 makes no sense, in a month you may not have time even if you play 12 hours a day.

Just a feedback about missions/ milestones.
I though that milestone during the testnet was motivated by features to be tested, (Boosting Holo / DH point, to test Holo/Dh spawn, Crafting to test forge etc. Survival multiplier to test Survival (totally buged)
Seeing that the season 1 use the exact same milestone than Preseason is really disappointing. Was hopping that team was doing more maths / calculation to define thoses milestones. for now they are random numbers and 30K ILV drop for it (its DAO money,,, please respect it)..."

As i see Rich said milestone are WIP. does it say it will chaange during the season ? or is the season active as it is ?

I haven't gotten into it far enough to be sure yet, but I was hoping for more of a linear PVE story with some progress bottlenecks. Playing Beta early on I am driven to catch a strong enough team to battle in tier 3 runs. After I accomplished that, i didn't have any challenges "thinking a next pokemon trainer that I have to grow my team in order to take down" that I was working towards or puzzling against. In some way the tier 1-3 runs created progress bottlenecks where the modifiers and battle sizes were bigger in each tier, but it wasn't nearly enough bottlenecks with breakthrough moments to keep me invested and struggling against the environment. A grind is a grind and it can be as fun as the purpose and exhilaration of the breakthrough of progress. "Collection" IMO isn't enough incentive. Maybe financial is enough to hunt something rare, but it would still be nice to have specific challenges, boss battles, etc. I think this has been the largest miss for me in the overworld experience. I hit it shortly after i get a few tier 3/4 stage 3 illuvials and am no longer sure what I'm playing for except to catch something rare to sell, this is when i get bored.
