#GFP-XX Training Grounds, Illuvial Staking and TrainingDex

Simple Summary

  1. Create the Training Grounds structure in Illuvium Zero. This structure offers a way to passively train Illuvials, allowing them to earn experience. Landowners can utilize Training Grounds to train their own Illuvials or rent any unused spaces out to other rangers.

  2. Introduce the concept of Illuvial staking in Illuvium Zero by allowing landowners to stake Illuvials into the Training Grounds. Staked Illuvials act as teachers, providing an experience bonus to matching Illuvials undergoing training in the same Training Grounds.

  3. Implement a player-driven marketplace for training Illuvials (TrainingDex) where landowners can advertise their Training Grounds, and rangers can easily browse through the available options.

Did you just set all the parameters of the building after they rejected the previous idea for being "too specific"? 😂😂

#

Please read that comment as just something I just found funny and not a critique

Love the idea and effort you put into this

I think it should be taken for granted that individual balance parameters in a feature proposal are to be determined by the game designers and wider team. If the community wants to fix specific parameters that should be via separate ICCP once feature is accepted for development and typically after launch when people can actually play something.

EDIT: Would still think it is a good idea to put specific parameters in to illustrate an idea, but it should be understood to be informative not normative (i.e. not binding).

#

Similar for the mechanics. Specific mechanics evovle through game design iterations, play testing, developer feedback, etc. Locking down exactly how some system works before any iteration and having to build it exactly like that regardless of how well it actually works is not a good idea.

@alpine gull do you have any idea of what the developers have planned already regarding training gyms/grounds? Could these submissions just be a waste of time due to the already planned development?

I'm about 99% sure there are no plans in regards to this feature. Its just an idea/proposal that hasn't moved to design phase.

#

I mean individuals might have thought about it, but nothing written down/shared.

#

(as far as I am aware, I reserve 1% of doubt as I am out of the loop)

Going to do it (based on community sentiment) and design/dev is in progress are different things.

I think everyone is very keen on the general idea.

Yes, this is a good for landowner;
allow to utilize their illuvial other than trade or arena. 🔥

leveling illuvials in OW requires:

  • crypton
  • consumables for illuvials fatigue
  • consumables for winning fights
  • leveled up illuvials for winning fights
#
  • play time
#

the illuvials you bring to OW need

  • crypton to farm shards
  • hyperion to cure shards
  • crypton to level up
  • solon and gems to fuse
#

the consumables need crypton and play time to farm as well

# dreamy moss They still dont want GFP to be specific as far as I am aware.

This is incorrect. GFP can be as specific as they want to be, because we want community members to be able to express their ideas. GFP as a category are looser than IIP/ICCP, and it's clearly stated in the proposal for GFP that any specified parameters can be changed.

The important thing is that someone can get their idea across clearly, and if that means including specification for examples or ballparks of how they see things working, that's a good thing. It just means that if someone lists, for example, 25% for some parameter, the final result doesn't have to be 25%.

GFPs are neutral to the amount of specification included, so that people proposing these systems can get their ideas across clearly without having to tiptoe around whether they are being too specific or not. There could be a lot, there could be a little or even no specification. But, "Due to the nature of gameplay features, any specified element may need to be adjusted at the discretion of Illuvium Labs during development, with no limitations."

TL;DR: Authors should focus on communicating their ideas, and not on the legalese required for IIP/ICCP.

Supportive of the overall idea, and excited we have a way to pass proposals like this now. Well done.

GFP's was specifically designed so one with a cool idea can write up as specific as he thinks is needed to carry over the idea one has to the team.
The IIP was never meant to be "you have to implement that 2.37% multiplier" it was always meant to be "that's" what i would like to see and do with it whatever you want to make it work and be Illuvium-style.
They might have to take whole features out or need/want to implement an additional feature to make it work and i'm totally fine with that. 🙂
