#Ranger in Gauntlet

I'm very impressed by the Gauntlet mode, especially considering it's in a very early stage of development!

I know some features are yet to come, but I'd like to propose the integration of our Ranger into this mode.

I don't know if Gauntlet will be balanced differently from Ascendant modes, but as of now, the illuvials traits distribution makes it so that the accessibility of each trait varies greatly, and many comps are either impossible to get or too risky to go for.

Integrating the Ranger with suits and weapons would allow for different team compositions and make the game more interesting. Not only would this enhance the experience, but it would also make a lot of sense lore-wise.

I was thinking of adding the suits and weapons in a similar manner to the augments. For example, early in the game, you could have your first suit and weapon round where you choose one of the three lower-tier weapons/suits. By late mid-game, we could have a second choosing round for each of them with stronger weapons and suits.

Ideally, even three different armament rounds would be cool, but even two add more time to an already long game. While it has its drawbacks, I believe the positives outweigh the negatives. There may also be other ways to implement this feature.

To avoid extending the length of a game, perhaps another option would be to get some random lower-tier armaments automatically in the early game and then better ones 1-2 more times throughout the game.

Let me know what you think about introducing the Ranger into the Gauntlet mode. How would you see this being integrated?

In today's stream I was told that the ranger implementation is already planned. I don't know if the team wants to share any details?

I totally agree, it would be very beneficial to add this. There are a couple traits that are quite easy to get compared to others
take dust for example. 2 units on stage 2 and done
same with predator (and now 3 of the mentioned units are already rogues which works well together)
while other things like invoker (obviously bad choice to play) or verdant take way more effort to activate.

just by activating a trait with the ranger can change the whole thing.
It is not easy to balance though, but I do really like the idea of the „augment“ rounds for the ranger weapons and armors.

So in total I did write a lot, but did not say a lot other than I agree 🤷‍♂️😂

Currently, it is difficult to create some composite classes and affinities. Adding rangers will solve this problem and differentiate it from TFT and other games. I completely agree.

weapons are essential it gives the possibility to quickly change the game to counter opponents🤝

Look forward to new bonding system + weapon + eventually mounting. It will add so much complexity n dynamics to the game. Def must.
