#Properly handle failed orders

First of all, I'm not asking to return testnet resources, I'm asking to implement a proper handling of failed orders for mainnet as it can be a disaster if we will start loosing real money value.
Already month ago I experienced lost resources from failed orders, but team ignored my ticket at that time (id #38105). So it's not a new issue that became a massive problem right now.
Apparently team cannot control Immutable infrastructure issues, so team need to take care of players not loosing time/money because of failures.
There are 2 ways how this can be done:

  1. If order fails system automatically returns wasted resources (or manually with Refund button)
  2. There may be a Retry option to generate same order again without consuming new resources
    The second option would be suitable for gathered resources and catched illuvials that was not minted as well.

if returning ressources is as simple as pressing a single button they will
if its not dont count on it why would they waste their effort its a testnet after all

my guess is they will not, forget about those lost ressources stop crafting and wait for a fix best thing we can do

Have tried to cure a heap of shards it took the fuel but didnt cure shards and seems to be having a problem with processing too

can't craft either. when I try resources disappear. it's a test environment so who cares. but I agree there should be proper handling in place for mainnet. I assume the - how to - depends on why the order is failing.

It's a crazy easy fix for them to implement.

Just did a quick look on blockchain items and I do not see any burns, so it's unclear how they've implemented craft 🤔

They assumed it would help them anti bots to introduce an expiration on orders... 🤣🤣

If orders don't go through I believe within 10 minutes they expire them, but they still keep them flagged as not available on their servers

Normally orders should always go through so there is another underlying issue they should fix. It's again a flaw in design, you shouldn't need orders you can instantly burn items from overworld... and mint the corresponding assets (that's what they do now but they use a custom order thing not on blockchain... bizarre)

So create order > flags asset unavailable > execute order > burn > receipt and mint of new asset

ok, I have found such asset and it is marked as Burned, though no burn operation on blockchain to track. not sure how they did it 😅

They always wait for the burns before minting the receipt asset...
