This should be: the choice of the land to visit, the level of the land, the fight with the illuvial and then, if this is won, the hope of finding something you are looking for, of throwing yourself into the unknown. With these latest updates the unknown and the desire to dive disappears, because in the first it is the illuvial we fought, in the other it is the first 3 (if we are in tier 3) of the list of illuvials we encounter!! In my opinion, and this is what I would like, there should be much more randomness, I would like to see all the illuvials that I encounter discovered and then one by one those that I can then capture light up, always at random, without having a certain number, without having a certain sequence (so not always 3 and not always the first 3, but see them all first and then see which ones I can capture, whether they are 1 or all). Sorry for the length and excuse my English I've been here for almost 3 years and I strongly believe in everything that is being built!! 😍

this actually makes sense and I'd like to see it. On the other hand, it'd be nice if we don't prolong the scan process any further
this kind of reminds me of the beyond disk opening discussion, where there were ppl arguing random order is better, or the last one is always rare. They changed to random on beyond disks.

No that i disagree with current 3 illuvials setup but i think adding this randomness aspect, if possible, would be a massive improvement!
This adds a gambling component to it, which is marvelous. I can imagine someone opening the scan and seeing 12 illuvial, 3 of which he would like to capture and the odds arent in his favor but he just feel it! Lets go in! Now the casino like experiment continues until the end of the fight
Doing this though we would have to revert back to the team composition we had before ethereal illuvials. Theres a negative to fighting only small illuvials boosted by encounter mods but the positive of this extra layer of gamble would outweigh the negative imo
I've talked about this before.
My suggestion was that the ones that are currently uncatchable (the ones that are black) have a 1% chance or more (depending on the level of the Illuvium), stay in the arena after the fight and have the ability to catch.
I was also saying that their animations and appearance look normal and not "transparent". The heat of the fight has been reduced to 0 and I have no interest in watching. I can't wait until it's all over.
So removing "etheral system" and having randomness between fight against 1 atlas or 12 atlas ?
I would say no to the 1% rate. or it will force to reduce the variety of the etheral illuvial. to just bring back the full 10 list to be captured. Why a 1% flat that would be active for a rhamphyre or for an archie while we need to balance the scarcity of things..
I think that the component of extra “luck” to find the one u r looking for that lights up would be a fun 😄
just keep in mind in this idea that the first goal is the balance spawn / capture rate. Changing things for the "gamble" or "fun" factor is not enough to justify the change.
For 10 is not acceptable in the long run. In less than a year the OW will be dead.
so you prefer having only 3 as now but remove etherals. ? how do you make the fight "complicated" in this way.
Your idea about having the possibility to capture an etheral with a rate have to be different between tier then i would "consider" it.
Like 0.01% for T5, 0.05& for T4 etc.
I only gave an example for 1%, it's an idea
He'll also have to do something about capturing Illuvium. Their movement is terrible. Rhampy who has wings doesn't fly around the field at all.
Ebb should only be somewhere where there is water and it is possible to dive (hide). We also need to see fights between the Illuviums themselves in the region, and then exploit their weakness.
The bugs that fly around only give a debuff, none of them give a buff, for example, for some improvement when catching and the like. There is a sea of ideas here that need to be implemented to keep OW alive in the long run. This way, everything will be dead in less than a year.
But that's another topic now, let's not discuss it here

No, the idea is that you dont see the 9 ethereal and 3 normal. You will get 3 real but you dont know yet who they will be, its would be random at the end of the fight
You would just see them normal like before but 9 of them will be ethereal once you beat them in the arena. Only 3 catchable
oh. interesting. so you make a 100% random encounter. and then add "chance rate to stay" that vary depending on the tier/stage from illuvials ?.
This way it would amplify even more the encounter you could have to fight. but you would be able to capture even 0 at the end ?
There should be a label for the HOLO illuvium on this image. I am devastated by how little attention is paid to detail.
Idea is always 3, its just you dont know which one of those 12 will be the 3 you can catch
Instead of knowing at a 0.1 glance if you go in the encounter or not now you would have a gamble aspect to it and always have certain odds at catching something good. Even when you know the odds arent in your favor, what if you feel it! Lets go in and spin the wheel wouuu!
Yes there should and there will be for sure. The team is delivering very fast new feature for us to test while its still in development. Part of the deal is that some feature are in their earliest form and the UI/UX is not optimal at first
You shouldnt judge it like a final product, its not
for sure it will make that game longer to catch them all. as you will fight way more and not only scan. but i can see the benefit
Imagine all fight long you pray that the holo rhamphyre is not ethereal but you know it most likely wont be
imagine seeing ophisto and rhamphire all around in the OW knowing that anyway it's not guaranteed to capture it. at least we would see way more illuvials in the OW too
