Topic: the system of awarding points for being online in the game needs to be changed!
With the current way of awarding them, half of the top of the leaderboard are people who have earned 1-2 illuvium and get points for time spent in the game....
Assuming it takes you 100 hours to collect all 5 levels of illuvium, you will receive 15k+2.4k+1.2k+800+400+200 + 10k for time spent in the game, or 30k points. If you play 10 hours a day, it will take you 10 days.
Now an example of a person who has a script that every 15 minutes performs some action in the game so that the system does not detect that he is AFK. The script runs 24/7 so in those 10 days such a person scores 24k points. That's 80% of what a player who devotes real time to the game earns!
With such a way of awarding points, playing the game is completely unprofitable, it is more profitable to perform an action once every 15 minutes, and the rest of the time to have the game hidden on the bar and do something else....
For calculations I took a very optimistic version for a normal player. Realistically it takes about 120-160 hours to get illuvium to tier5
