I’m posting on behalf of @last isle

Hi!

counting points for in-game tests is not fair

I was afraid I would be tricked.
I spent a lot of time trading to mine a lot of DSKs in Beyond and now at the end, after a whole month, as I understand it, I won't get even one point for the accessories and Iluviatars collected there.
Bonus points, as you can see, promote those who have reached the furthest in OverWorld, collecting entire lines of tier 5 Iluviatars. Bonus points are too high in relation to the points for the time spent.
And what about the rest of the Beyond and Arena games, they don't count, so why were they in the tests???

I spent a lot of hours trading and then using the earned eth mining and opening DSK
Why don't I even see a change about the Beyond and Illuvium Arena collections, or have they been completely omitted and time and performance simply don't count in them???

Greetings to the entire Illuvium team

Hey @last isle im gonna copy paste something i answered in another channel

I agree it shouldnt have been flat

The problem was mainly the confusion around it. At first it wasnt clear and official, we even got info from team members that it would be action dependent, notably in this chat right here

Some people like me then went on and informed their community about it. I learned around the 9th may that it was flat. At the time i had a big discussion with Kieran about it and even was going to push for an IIP as it seemed the community shared the same feeling on this (if you have land, heres the discussion: #🗻〕land-owner message)

Afterall i decided it would be best to not change it because it was already started as flat. Changing it mid-PB4 would have been worst imo

Theres also an ongoing idea about changing it that just popped here #1245038428375224350 message

Again i believe changing it at the end right now would not be a good decision because although a lot of people grinded because they thought they would be rewarded for it theres many more that played only a little bit knowing it was flat

There was surely confusion and a lack of information on this but this time around for open test net the Team were on point and gave us a detailed blog before the launch

The points for the game are so it incentivizes play testing the game. That is what is needed. There’s not really a need to test the blockchain. The blockchain is not even Illuvium’s chain being tested. It’s imx. Maybe imx would have shared rewards for testing back when imx was being tested. But that’s not what illuvium is doing.

#

As I’ve mentioned before: Beyond is not being tested. It’s already live on mainnet.

#

The arena collection is the same as the overworld collection. So that’s not really a thing to not be included.

#

Hopefully you’ve now read the articles shared in #📣〕announcements so you are actually aware of how things work for the open testnet phase.

@last isle
Good day, my friend! I completely and wholeheartedly agree with your words. And I understand you perfectly. If I understand the developers' position correctly, we have 4 games, not 3. But for some reason, Beyond was left aside. Why did I spend so much time on it?

Beyond is explicitly included in Airdrop 2 (the open beta mainnet airdrop) from the airdrop announcement article.
