imagine ur on your last energy to shoot an ore, the dome is closing in 2 mins. you looked around but cant find a node. you turn your head, the dome is closing in by the seconds.
you panicked, jump aimlessly, and finally u saw a node!
you use whats left of your kinetic energy, the dome is right behind you. you aim and are about to pull the trigger and .........

yeah, morphopods should be pesky, not deadly...
I would much rather see some plants explode on proximity, like the flintcaps or the jellyfruits. This way players couldn't mindlessly get close to them, while still clearly seeing the threat.
regarding that, there's also this bug where the resource disappears if you get killed while extracting...
yea i got that bug.
shooting an ore just before it get passed by the dome also gonna cost u energy.
i used to ask for more challenge in OW, but now i regret it.
people are going to spend their money on a run. obstacle like slowing down, draining kinetic energy is fine, but killing the ranger and making us teleport is not
yes, it made sense back then when there were no illuvials roaming and the world was too empty, but since that has changed so should the morphopods be toned down, at least the damage dealer ones.

I don't mind bugs generally, actually kinda like em. But the effect of dmg dealing should definitely be switched out with something else. Like blinding for example

Then i admit its annoying to get killed, specifically the first time it happens but i like the fact that we can die
You can die from acid or the void anyway. You can always place teleporters on the go easily just in case
What i would suggest is making it more obvious you are currently getting attacked and maybe make the bug more obvious once they are attacking you
Without pressing Q its hard and annoying to try to find them. Sometimes, especially when new you just dont know you are getting attacked and either die or cant use your jump. Support probably got 100+ bug report from people not being able to jump, including me.. 🥲

I don't think it's only for new players. I started finding them particularly annoying when I began doing stage 3 regions. Their damage gets a significant boost, so much so that they can kill you in a few seconds. The exalted ones are alone instead of in a swarm, which makes them even harder to detect.

If it was made more obvious you were getting attacked would that help you think?
it would help a bit. But I still don't like it because it's a threat that's hard to notice until they start hitting or you are with the nether sight on.
I like the Morphopods. My only complaint is that we can’t bulk refine them to dyes in the forge
