So I was talking about this idea on last weeks episode of The Download and I was surprised at how much the community liked it. I even had more than 1 person mention it to me directly after the fact asking I create a post and so here it goes.

The idea is relatively simple: You incorporate all future games back into the Illuvium Overworld through the use of NPC's , the lore and other devices.

Since the autobattler is being phased out of the Illuvium Overworld, myself like many others thought that would be an absolute shame. Its niche and isn't fun for everyone, but many, like myself actually quite enjoy playing the autobattler in the Overworld and it involves some fun aspects of strategy. I won't ever forget getting drop kicked by Whitney until I found a Fighting type, or Brock slapping my Charmander into the Shadow Realm until I found a Grass type. Its these moments that I want to preserve, and thankfully because of the interoperable blockchain game systems, we can.

Lets say there are 3 future games all of varying genres in the Illuvium Universe. The Gauntlet autobattler, The Illuvikart Kart Racer, The Illuvinite Battle Royale.

Now sure, you can leave people to find them naturally via content creators, or through the Illuvium ingame UI, but what if they were worked into the Illuvium Overworld in a non intrusive way. And thus I present 3 scenarios.

  1. You are running around Crimson Wastes and a Ranger is standing near the Obelisk. After a short conversation he says you can have 10 Chrovium if you defeat him and his allies in an autobattle, to accept it costs you 300 energy and after its complete he gives you x and y reward, maybe even some soulbound items or achievements too. A completely optional interaction.

  2. Maybe you find someone who races you on a Crimson Wastes Track?

  3. Or even someone who says they will give you heaps more rewards than you would have gotten if you take him down in a Battle Royale.

The possibilities are truly endless.

To wrap up what I was saying, the true beauty of it, is it encourages players to try out the many ways they can use their Illuvials in the ecosystem, cementing the IP and maximising an individuals player retention. This creates a flywheel very similar to the Blizzard suite back in the hayday of gaming, but in our version its even more interconnected and proves why Interoperable Blockchain gaming is so powerful

I love this Scoriox. I think it’s a shame to not build layers on layers of interoperable experiences throughout Illuviums games.

Great idea.
WoW did it with PvP.
Every weeke PvE players needed to spend some time in PvP to get loots.

Are you familiar with Path of Exile?

They do exactly this on their end-game maps. This idea is gold.

Wonderful idea, surely a good amount of dev work but if we just assume in advance all game modes got to have a part of it implemented in OW it will just be part of it

Would totally be worth it imo 💯

How do you guys see ilz integrated? I can imagine little structures or village like in minecraft with our ilz buildings and you can get some fuel in the extractors

i also think incorporating survival mode and land game into sanctum mesa instead of a menu is a good idea

#

the games would function the same and accessible through a menu but also being able to walk up to it makes it feel better integrated
