This idea aims to improve trading and value creation by implementing an "unrevealed secondary attribute" system for crafted Drone Equipment. The person who crafts a piece of Drone Equipment has the option to either "reveal" the secondary attribute or keep it "unrevealed" and sell it on Illuvidex.

The random secondary attributes could play a significant role in the game economy. Players would want to buy Drone Equipment (chips) with the best secondary attributes, or Best-in-Slot (BiS). Currently, obtaining a good secondary attribute is a lengthy and possibly expensive process. Chips with sub-optimal secondary attributes might end up listed at the floor price. Implementing the "unrevealed secondary attribute" system could provide ore farmers with better revenue opportunities, while buyers can engage in speculation by "revealing" the secondary attribute. This system has been used extensively in the NFT market, where generally, "unrevealed" NFTs are priced higher than the floor price of the "revealed" ones.

Secondary attributes surely will play an important role in the price variation of each chips. Having this attribute unrevealed would certainly make its price higher than the avg price of each potential second attributes but by how much?

I doubt this would have a major impact. To put it simple lets say for X drone chip theres 3 secondary options. Each respectively go for 10, 12 and 14$. An unrevealed would be worth 12$, but because you add the gamble aspect to it it would make sense its higher. How much higher than the avg would you see this go for @lost cliff ?

Adding this little gambling opening sounds like a net addition but i doubt it would have a considerable impact worth doing the dev work for, at least at this stage of development

as for buyers, they can choose to buy the revealed one or unrevealed one

this idea is just an alternative to buying ingots and essences and craft the chips yourself. you only have to buy 1 item instead of 9 different items (7 ingots, 1 essence, 1 fuel)

Imo i doesn't Make a difference.
If you have a nice secondsry Attribute ,ou reveal and sell it for a nice price.
If you have a not fitting(shitty) secondary you hide it, and everybody knows why, which will let unrevealed offers sink to floorprice

And wouldn't it just price down those unrevealed assets to the cost of all mats needed for it

this idea takes away the excitement from the crafting process and shifts it to the identification process.

This can work if more affixes are added, right now is a bit bland and straightforward
