Just posted on X and thought I would share here.

I know Kieran compares the airdrop to referring a friend to Uber but I don’t think its a perfect comparison.

I would like to see a friend referral system implemented where for every friend referred you (and possibly they) get Hyperion = to stage 1 to your passport wallet. (Or whatever amount the community thinks is right - maybe 1 stage 1 for every 2 friends.

I think the airdrop is great for converting crypto natives but non crypto natives don’t understand tokens and so it doesn’t help mass adoption. The incentive isn’t working right for them in particular.

A referral system shares it from crypto natives to their non crypto native friends who just see a great game with the crypto abstracted.

I know I would share with many non crypto friends with this incentive.

Hyperion = to stage 1 just gives the new entrant a little taste as to what’s behind the paywall.

we can use the fuel crate as the referral system reward. usually the such referral system requires the referred user to make a purchase otherwise it can be botted

Thats a good idea @civic ember . As crypto and web3 are still in their early stages, I feel like most of our friend circles are outside of the crypto space and reluctant to try something like Illuvium, no matter how much we promote it.

They need an incentive to try it and I don’t think a token airdrop means anything to them

It does mean something but some sort of referral to invite friends would make sense in this space
