Remember the days when we had weekly tournaments with a decent prize pool? Illuvium stopped the tournament funding because of the game state, but now with PB4, I would say we are in a good state to bring them back. There are endless tournament formats we can try out right now and build a proper grassroots eSports scene.
For example, around 5 ILV (as it was done in the past) each for 1-3 tournaments per week should be enough for now and is, compared to all other marketing campaigns, a very low price with, in my opinion, huge benefits for the project. The benefits of strengthening our core community with regular tournaments for anyone, some for fun, some competitive, are invaluable and cannot be gained after the masses arrive.
I am sure Illuvium will bring them back in the near future, but I think more is lost than gained by waiting any longer.
