After my Feedback idea of 1 year vesting on the airdrop didn't seem to catch on, i want to give it another shot, and test if we can find a middle ground.

What if we treat the airdrop as a stake, meaning on claim we could let people decide themselves for how long they want to lock it in, and pay in weight rewarding dedication.
The minimum time will be 1 month before u are able to withdraw.

Our staking system has proven its worth and value, and worked for us over time.

I think this way, we still make people feel in control, and we force them to look into some details before making a decision, this means rev dis and governance will cross there path.

Other projects have done/are doing airdrops with similar outline. The idea that a airdrop has to be free money is just wrong IMO, it should serve us equally as it rewards others.

Like, in the real world, nothing is free u get a discount on your 1st purchase (above 500 dollars) is the offers u get, i know this is web3 but i also think we should not sell our ass cheap, what we bring is quality so people can expect a decently planned out airdrop, our airdrop will serve as a tutorial into our cogwheels showcasing rev dis and governance.

We all used the staking contracts, so we should all be able to judge this idea based off that, and if i speak for myself i have always been happy with the trade off, lock-time VS weight.

so the person claiming can decide 1 to 12 months?

this is what our current staking contract gives u as options. 1 month being the minimum.

I'm in. So no vesting, but a minimum 1 month stake before they can claim, right?

Seems like a good idea to me, though I also look forward to hear what Kieran and team have in mind. Maybe merge the two ideas if that ends up making sense.

New update:

So his idea is likely outside of staking right now in order to offer that bonus %. He's not saying how long he was thinking for the mandatory period though, probably didn't want to throw something out there without some discussion internally and w/council.
