I think it would be cool to have a flying throne for your ranger in Overworld. Maybe a living throne with eyeballs and tentacles for example. Some other types of flying mounts would be cool too. Being able to ride some Illuvials that you collected would be ideal. Being able to throw portals to skip across the map instantly while on your mount or throne would also be awesome... Overall just needs more options. The more stuff you can do the better. People get bored easily.
