#ILLUVIPETS PART 2

Over a year ago, I had the little idea of Illuvipets, inspired by Tamagotchi & Pokémon Go.

Later, I sat down to jot down some ROUGH ideas as a PDF with some input from @feral obsidian, @olive acorn, and @patent umbra.

However, real-life stuff and other projects kept the others and me busy. Fast forward 6 months to today, where I saw the update on the roadmap that Q3 will be the moment to introduce a New Game IIP.

Because none of the people above (including me) have time to work/flesh this out, I decided to share the PDF with the rough ideas in a new post, hoping that maybe someone from the community can pick up where we left off.

I don't even remember the ideas that I wrote down (that's how long it's been 😂), but it would make me happy if someone else is willing to take this idea and run with it 😄

By the way, the stuff I wrote together is just a discussion point and maybe inspiration; perhaps nothing is usable. Who knows. For me, it was just important to get the ideas out of my system and onto paper.

I hope you enjoy the read and potentially want to continue to develop these rough ideas into a full-blown IIP that stands a chance to get voted on.

Wow!!!
Absolutely fabulous, well set out and thought about.

I can see the AR part being really useful for educational on animal extinction. That would play into the Illuvium ideology and give something a little different to the user.
People could learn about the habit and fauna and flora that have become or in danger of becoming extinct due to human interventions.
I think local councils ( at least in Australia) wildlife and eco groups would be jumping in for this. It has tourism appeal as well like geo cashing.

Virtual teaching regarding climate change is becoming a hot area. Now is a good time to start thinking about this.

I absolutely love the special events. It could be extended into people 'visiting' places around the world, being immersed through AR or a virtual world, in that particular environment and circumstances.

Companion games that lead people outside will probably be a large future industry. Tying them to a universe the player already plays is a no-brainer.

At first I had some push back on leveling up your Illuvials that can then be played in the other games, yet why not!
It's a, 'you can do this too' situation. It's expensive rather than contractive.
There are many different types of people in the world. I see this being very appealing.

The replicator could be something phenomenal.
Imagine, sports wear, orienteering equipment, restorative wildlife events.
In the virtual yet partnered with inrl business and groups to then manifest as real world items.

Go for it!
Ps could I pm you Ive been ruminating on an idea I think you may like?

Thanks for taking the time to read it through 🫶

My issue is that I don't have time to work on this (as much as I would love). That's why I'm sharing my thoughts. So that maybe, just maybe, someone who's highly motivated and preferably bored 😂 comes along to pick the pieces.

As mentioned, this needs to be fleshed out to MVP (minimal-viable-product). Because as whole it's to ambitious for the beginning.

But something simple to start with should be possible. All though the team and the DAO have to decide that at the end of the day 🙂

PS: Sende you a friends request.

I liked the idea when you first came up with it and I still do. Unfortunately I am not bored nor highly motivated but I hope someone comes along who is. 🙂

Love it! I didn't realise this was suggested a while ago and great to see the amount of thinking that went into it!

I've been thinking for while that something like this would make total sense for Illuvium and would be an amazing way to build engagement with the IP. I even made a comment a couple of times precisely about having a modern-day tamagotchi for Illuvium in #1055081063644397629 🙂

I would love to see this voted as one of the next products to be developed. Accessing the mobile market is a huge win and leveraging on the collectability aspect of Illuvials is a no-brainer.
Maybe, we can be pragmatic about it and the companion app would start with a limited set of features (potentially including excursions as well) and then grow more intricate with time (interactions with pets, AR etc.)

So funny that the "Mobile Overworld" that you mentioned is actually something that's pretty much confirmed that'll come in some shape or form.

Also, you're right if Illuvipets gets voted on then it would have to be a MVP product at the beginning. I remember 2016 when Pokemon Go came out. I played it on day 1 and it was completely empty. There was nothing.

The feauters came with time and the same should be the case with Illuvipets. Now which features exactly are necessary for a MVP I don't know. That's why I made this Part to give to people to discuss.

I feel that both Styles should exist, however I don't think they should be the same app simultaneously.

The Overworld RL game should function similar however the illuvipets game should focus more on casual gamers that are lazy and just want to play with a cute animal that has personality.

While the overworld RL game can focus on social interactions and can use the Pokemon go framework but instead use your team from the overworld in game to hunt and capture illuvials in real life.

Recap:
I think the idea is phenomenal however I think they should be 2 seperate apps.

Illuvipets - Nintendogs/Tamagotchi (stat training game)
Overworld RL - Pokemon go but better and use real in-game mechanics

I believe all games should feed into one another, giving reason to swap over to different games to optimize.

I am seeing this being more important now than ever. It could be the perfect bridge while we wait for the current game environments to flesh out.

The team seem like they have 0 fuel in the tank.
Every now and then I remind myself that ILV labs is still an indie studio.
As the team grows, the difficulties should lessen.

I still see the end goal. Let's work to get there. I 100 percent believe it's worth it.
