Yah, I'm glad you brought this up. I've been thinking about something like this lately... but moreso pre open beta for all of us. Why not get everyone on a testnet asap? That way we can all test functionality before game goes live on chain.

And maybe keep a testnet going for noobies like you've described so they can get a feel for how things work in a safe way... then be able to onboard,

I don't know how much ressources it would take to keep it up, and how many actually would go on a testnet to try it out. As far as i experienced human beings These days, they just Click Click sign sign instead of reading or testing anything.

But yes, already mentioned this somewhere that illuvium should take in a leader role in creating awareness tonsecurity and scams in Web 3.
Put on a live Ticker of the ammount of money got scammed, do not just only an fa-disclaimer but also a scam Disclaimer in medias, Make people have to go through a Tutorial when they create their first wallet, or Make them Look an explaining Video including raiding scam awareness etc. There are many ways illuvium can make people be more aware of scams.
It would also rise Reputation and trust into illuvium if you see this all over the place.

Create warnings, ect. Plus there would be a fair amount of people that already have crypto of some kind.
Plus the.IMX wallet is easy.

My thoughts are to make it in a tutorial. Like an interactive game using the system that would be used.

So there's a few things that may just be unclear to me. Firstly PB4 will have all the features available but placed on testnet. I assume your discussion centres around extending this to beyond Open Beta so people have a playground they can play in indefinitely. I don't mind it, games such as League of Legends and even World of Warcraft do have special testing environments that anyone can play on. The core difference would be the testnet world doesn't have a ranked mode in any competitive games that are related, as for dev work its hard to say.

However I should mention that Illuvium passport will be compulsory to play the game as far as I am aware. So your education wouldn't have anything to do with wallet creation or protecting private keys since IMX will take care of all of that. Avoiding scams might be valuable but IMX should protect you from that as well.

The Passport has been built to serve this exact purpose in helping onboard users without the need for education or crypto knowledge, so I am not sure what we can achieve beyond that?

I'll explain more depending on weather or not IMX does every transaction for you and you don't need your own crypto wallet.

Im not sure what their offboarding systems are. They may have something but it porbbaly wont be for every region/country

My basic premise was to create a short tutorial, I'm thinking simulation now rather than on testnet.

You join Illuvium, create an IMX passport, play a shot loop, maybe in T0 and T1
Catch some illuvals, gather some resources, then sell them on the market.
Then you simulate the action of pulling your eth out.
Ect.
Kind of like the discord moderators game that takes you through a game of the scenarios you are most likely to face.

Lol thanks I thought it would be a different take on the usual stuff. I know I still had massive issues even after watching heaps of them.

I saw IMX had an off boarding thing. I don't know the full details yet I think it makes it super easy. Its on their product page.

It'd be a bad product if they didnt at least try to add some sort of offboarding system. But I suspect its mostly built for US customers

Actually on second thought IMX is based in Aus, so who knows what system they managed to incorporate
