This one is quite straightforward and pretty much all games have this.

After your third consecutive win start gaining 5-10 cumulative rating per win.

Don't think this needs a proposal, just putting this here to bring awareness to it, since I've seen more people ask for it.

well what you're saying will happen with or without this winning streak. We'll need a system to detect those malicious player doing that and ban them anyway.

This will happen with or without but the extra LP gain per win makes it easier to do successfully especially with how often you get matched against the same player in a row

I'm sure there are ways to fix that tho you know what I mean?

win trading only applies to starting ranks since you don't have infinite high rating accounts to keep losing

Sure and that's easy to do now when the player numbers are low but what happens when we have hundreds of thousands or even millions of people playing? It's not that simple at that point but as a short term solution it shouldn't be hard at all to enforce.

at that point it will also be harder to do win trading, and by then we should have an AI to detect malicious activity hopefully

This is actually important for high elo and i think could unlock the elo-sitting situation.

The major issue most players competing for top20 report is that it's not worth to keep playing because of the absurd winrate required to not just lose all their points. II understand the frustration of winning 8 games, losing 1, and get back to neutral or even end in a net minus and it just discourages people from playing more than the 15games/week.

Which leads to the leaderboards alt accounts issues, inactive accounts and dead queue times.

A winstreak bonus would encourage top players to keep climbing on their main imo.

tbh unsure about a winning streak bonus ..
But i wouldnt mind seeing some sort of win prediction option ingame. Dota2 offers this where you choose to predict a win and if you lose, your streak starts back at zero. whilst you dont gain any extra benefit, its a cool little thing to have becasue its a weird kinda flex wen you have like 15 win predictions showing ingame.

I mean is winning 5 or 10 win rating per win that big?
it's equal to getting 50 or 100 extra rating with 13 wins...

i mean it would help players gain that little bit of extra earned elo if they are consistantly vs'ing low elo players that give little elo reward

then again you could have new smurfs climbing the leaderboard spots faster blocking more spots for rewards.. but could avoid that by having the "winning streak bonus" only start to kick in after x amount of games

the whole point of this is to give a bonus to good players

you can have an unlucky streak and pile some losses but if you're good it will help you climb a bit faster. And to those that are in the top like @sterile topaz mentioned will help differentiate even further the good from the really good.

I agree with @vocal flax, we need more gamer mentality in our discussions.

we shouldn't be thinking on measures and systems to fix short term problems but rather to implement good long term solutions
