Keep the leaderboard separate.
Inactive accounts and smurfs should be removed from the leaderboard.
Everyone should register only one account for the leaderboard and play with other accounts noncompetitive.
There should be an empty leaderboard and a pre-register of 15 games, and only after playing those you can take a place in the leaderboard.
The top 100 can make 9 smurf accounts to block the leaderboard.

L.E. alot of people occupy the 1000-500 places with 1372 points just because they created an account.

I don't agree with this exact form, BUT I agree that smurfs taking rewards slots is bad.

Will gladly discuss this with the community and/or team members here to find the right way to do this.

Especially since we were told that smurfs would NOT block other people from the rewards they deserve.

I dont agree with registering an account but i agree with everything else. They have already done the work to recognise smurfs so they dont get rewarded, why not just exclude them for the week?

I think highest account makes sense as its simpler and there is still upside to it (people play much more and its good for everyone).

Middle ground is keep the current system for inactive accounts or accounts with no wallets (eg they take a spot on leaderboard) but exclude smurfs (the smurf thing is what people are most mad about)

Yes, highest positioned account should be taken into consideration. It's still your work, who cares if it's not on main account. But just 1 reward per human, and don't include the other accounts into counting.
Also inactive accounts if they start at 1300 (i dont know at what points they start) they already occupy the 500-1000 places without playing a game

Suggestion: make it so we can see the opponents deck when choosing legendary augments. We can see our own when we hover mouse towards bottom. Maybe hover mouse over top to see opponents? Would be nice QoL feature

I agree completely - smurfs and inactive accounts should not take rewards away from players.

Only your top account is your position. Fine to make smurfs and try get higher.
Smurfs and Inactive accounts (accounts that haven't played 15) do not take up spots on the rewards leaderboard
Would be great to have a seperate live leaderboard that shows who is eligible for rewards (once you play 15 you go on there)
A counter of how many games you've played so far would be great also
