#Don't let Midbeast stream Illuvium ever again.

I only watched for 30 mins or so but I really enjoyed it? What did I miss? He was also talking well about the game. His a competitive player I think he was just actually wanting to focus and get good
Same I'm not sure what you mean, maybe at the end, be looked tired to me and maybe disappointed, like you feel when you want to be better at something.
He wanted to be number 1.
The comments in the chat are bound to happen. Some are worth noting. Comments regarding nfts and crypto, there isn't much that can be done. The game will speak for itself.
he disnt smile or look happy for a nanosecond. or did I miss a part?
I'm not talking about the chat, that went perhaps slightly better than I expected.
I'm talking about him specifically. He seemed like working the worst of chores.
Did he look happy at any moment, and when?
bobqinxd stream was really good
i think its a good idea to provide feedback on the streamers
I see, apologies for not clarifying first.
I felt he connected with the characters, and made ownership like comments.
I remember @green tapir saying something about streamers yet I can't remember the details.
create a new channel for commenting specifically on sponsored streamers? If bobqinxd does really good, and midbeast does poorly, there is no sense in not adjusting. Simply reallocate funds from midbeats towards already proven streamers like bobqinxd and perhaps some new ones too
I completely disagree as far as how he did, but it is what it is. If you interpret his stream as decent, then the discussion is mute. I stand strongly behind my impression but won't try to force it onto you.
It's okay
i dnt have the details of the streaming partnership. i'll see if i can get someone on the team who is in charge of the streaming deal
@hushed cradle do you know who we can provide community feedback about the TL streamers?
tnx great. btw I dont want to force my opinion onto others. proper discord infrastructure for polling on streamers performance should be set up. I think that would help tremendously in getting the best for our sponsorship buck
yea that will be pretty cool to see
I can forward partnerships manager here for sure
you can update this thread to be a channel for TL streamer feedback
@fleet tiger what would be your intended outcome of the polling?
thanks rich
alright, will do. dont have much discord editing stuff exp so it will take me a minute
deciding which streamers to cut and which ones to double down on.
I didn’t see the stream personally but from what I’ve heard this is kind of the way midbeast operates
So are you saying they would have to have a set reaction?
Yeah I was wondering, I thought I'd check out his other streams.
I watched his yt mid guides for years. and his kr escapades. He was always more on the tryhard focus side than baity open mouth type, but he never seem half as dead as he did on this stream.
But say I am wrong.
There might be a streamer in the future that does really poorly. Or someone who does exceptionally well. We should have the infrastructure to recognize and incentivize/stop such streams.
what do you mean by 'set reaction'?
Like always positive?
absolutely not, but there is 0 reason to pay loads of cash to someone who straight up depresses viewers.
And before you intentionally misinterpret my words, no, I am not the sole decider if he depresses viewers or not.
That is precisely why I say we should set up a voting system
I've had similar thoughts on other streamers, I'm not sure about partnerships, yet when I brought it up before they kind of wanted them to be organic.
I miss your point quite a lot. by 'they' in your last sentence, whom are you reffering to?
Sorry I'm asking questions to clarify so I don't misinterpret you.
The influence manager.
Let's put it this way. When was the last time you turned on your tv, and mid-game there is a celebrity beer* commercial, except the celebrity spits the beer out and acts like tis piss?
or when did you see the viagra commercial, with a dude and his girl in bed, saying: 'we can always play scrabble if this doesnt work'?
Maybe it would be a good thing.
I'm not actually arguing with you, I thought differently about the stream.
I was trying to make sure I understood where you were coming from.
Sure, they most likely wouldn't be used again.
but even more importantly, lets say you and I have different impressions of that stream. you think the other thousand people are gonna agree w u or me perfectly? nah
so thats why I will try to convert this into a rating system for streamers. Simple. every member gets a vote. (we can perhaps optimize later)
and everyone ranks them in say 3 categories. crypto understanding. game ability. game enthusiasm.
If you got any ideas tell me this is literally the first thing that came 2 my mind.
I will be back in 20ish minutes
Perhaps
Delivery of critical feedback
I'd like to know more from the partnership manager before I put more thought into it.
For context I watched the entire stream.
Not all streamers act the same, you have high energy streamers like Bobqin and you have more relaxed streamers like Midbeast.
In regards to "he didn't smile or look happy, this is what he looks like playing LoL (his game of choice).
Last time I spoke to you about streamers, I thought a lot about it. I feel it's best that people are encouraged to be natural.
I don't really like the idea of ranking them.
it is good to see unfiltered first-time-playing reaction from streamers or gamers in general
however, afaik the TL streamers are paid. we do not have to continue paying streamers that the community doesnt want
Sure.
Might it be an idea to organise with some of our top players (if they're up for it) to give some live coaching, even if it's just for the first 30 minutes of their stream, to get them going?
As Team Liquid are pros in other games, but they're brand new to Illuvium!
I spent multiple hours in twitch chat doing just that for him. He seemed to enjoy himself more when winning
