I haven't tried arena mode in a while, and I've seen a change that I didn't like. If I remember correctly, the Illuvial's ability evolved with the illuvials. For example, scarabok didn't stun but titanor did. Now the ability of all Illuvials does the same, regardless of whether they are evolved or not. I understand that it is easier to balance this way, but it seems like a mistake to me, it makes the Illuvials lose personality and their evolutions seem less powerful, as if they were mere skins of the original unit. Abilities of the Illuvials seem to be created specifically to evolve alongside the Illuvial. I honestly don't understand that change.
#Evolution in the skills of the illuvials.

I'm playing the beta and I'm quite sad, it seems like a lost opportunity and a lot of wasted potential. For example, Ebb stays as it is, fludd already has the ability to attack, but it doesn't do damage, it steals mana. Geyyser's ability also gives mana to allies/steals mana from enemies/increases allies' Energy Efficiency/decreases enemies' Energy Efficiency (any of those). You would see that evolution in the illuvial, and the high tier one isn't necessarily better because maybe you just want the healing so you stay with ebb. Or for example archie only heals, archos also does damage, archeleon's ability has much more range. Something that can be done to give more importance to the low-level illuvials, if that is the problem, may be to limit their deployment. For example, the first 2 rounds can only be played by stage 1 illuvials, the first 5 rounds can only be played by stage 1 and 2.
