The idea is to introduce a practice in which if a change is not communicated at least 1 month in advance, that change cannot be introduced.

This will improve some critical aspects:

  1. Less likely for people to fall victims to scams, that are surprise doing anything.
  2. Increase the trasparency of the planing and thinking of the team.
  3. Give investors clear rules of what can and cannot change short term.

Example: Illuvitars wave 2 is ongoing and there are 30 days left for the sale. This should be the last opportunity for team to announce an extension of the sale. If such extension is not announce in advance it cannot happen.

Same goes with starting a new wave/sale. Announce it at least a month in advance. Then launch it.

DMs are scams

Mods and Team members will never DM you.
Never trust advice or links received in DMs.

Beta access, giveaways, and promotions are not given out via DM. Scams are designed to trick you into installing malicious software to gain access to your wallet or to convince you to enter your seed phrase into a website. Never give your private key (12 to 24-word seed phrase) to anyone.

Support is not provided via DMs

Support is handled publicly, or in threads within the Illuvium Discord. People offering support via DM are scammers.

Extra: I remember some discord talks about maybe extending wave 2 sale for some reasons. This is very uncertain, speculative and unserious. If a change on this scale should be made, it needs to be clearly stated beforehand and not changed "seemingly out of the blue" 1 week before the end of wave.

Advance notice for releases is very important - as for the rest not sure that would be the best way to handle it

1 month in advance or no go seems a bit restrictive

I like the core concept behind it but as Ricky mentioned it can be restricting. And as always there has to be room for exceptions to the general rule for exigent circumstances

I think this is something reasonable. The time period can always be changed. And even if it's not voted in, it should be something that the team can/should embrace.
