Feedback in regards to checkpoints.

  • There is something that makes me just want to stop every time I have to go back to a checkpoint.
  • My feedback would be just to have the 3 restarts on the same wave you just lost to.
  • I don't see how this would change the balance ect of the game but would only improve the player experience.

You can play casual mode and then can play the same wave as many times as you want.

That response makes no sense lol. So if WoW had all raid mobs respawn every time you wiped on a boss you wouldn't suggest that a mob respawn timer to give the raid a chance to try the boss again without respawns? You would just say "if it bothers you don't wipe"? That sounds like a great way to discuss player experience.

The response is even sillier given its survival mode and you literally have to lose at some point.

Its fun, competitive and a good amount of mental tax at the later waves. All the checkpoints do is add to the mental tax and add zero fun compared to just using that same restart on the wave you lost on.

The fact you can't explain how going back to a checkpoint is better than just starting from the wave you lost (same amount of restarts) kind of proves my point.

Also maybe you are just exhausted from people complaining about things and thats why you are being so "if you dont like it than go away", but I'm not here complaining lol, its just a suggestion from someone that loves the game and has never complained about anything.

I've already explained how its a penalty for losing. You have to fight your way back there.

There are also instances where it's a benefit because you need to change your team along the way to get past the wave.

Yea there is no disagreement on it being a penalty for losing, I'm saying it has little to no improvement in regards to fun, player experience or competitiveness (maybe a little). But does provide a mentally taxing / tilting event.

Interesting point about being able to change your team. Still dont think the pros outweigh the cons. Maybe im unique in this view, just putting it out there incase others feel the same and the devs can take it into consideration.

Setting you back 1 wave would be a reasonable bridge between penalty, and having time to switch your team up. Not sure the same wave would allow people the required flexibility to make changes in time.

Or cut down the number of extra tries by 1 and let the player choose which wave to restart from. Then you need to decide if you can retry on the wave you lost or if you should go back further and change your team.
