There are 7 regions in total. They are different toneach other.
2 of them, taiga boreal and shardbluff are going to be way more vertical they said
I don't think maps are too wide, it gives utility to the heat map to narrow it down
I think it’s important to remember the “empty” parts of the overworld means easy to implement future updates without adding space to the region as well
I don’t think the maps are to big but I do find the sand storms a bit annoying.
the plants that will shoot at us and require dodging and shooting will make a good difference.
the world feels like a running simulator imo because there's no illuvials in it and otherwise there is not that much going on. The immersion is kinda lacking. So decreasing size by 20% would do nothing (imo)
My opinion is not base on the game as it is right now, I know that in the future they will add more interactive stuff, anyways for me personally I don't enjoy open worlds where there is too much flats surfaces.
If they add enemy's , that drop loot or quest to fill those gaps, maybe, but the overworld experience in the end is to catch illuvials.
I won't feel good like running 10 minutes to find the illuvials encounter.
