illuvium has many supporters, some of whom are great creators!
My avatar was drawn by @sage dagger

It would be great if these works could be sold in the illuvium store and 50% of the sales could be returned to the creators as reward!

All works are sold as NFTs and can be used as in-game avatars!
You can buy them as an investment or use them as your one and only avatar!

I know that illuvitars can play a role in this, but I think some people prefer one-of-a-kind works.
I believe that the participation of many creators in the future will attract more fans to the illuvium.

  1. Sales Method
    Time-limited auction system
I think this would be a better revenue for the creators.
If it becomes popular, I believe it will inspire future productions.

2.All pieces are marked with the official mark of illuvium, thereby preventing counterfeiting.
And the mark is very valuable.

  1. Advantage
・If famous creators participate, the popularity of the illuvium will increase!
・More people will be able to buy avatars of their choice and use them in games.
・We don't have to make it ourselves.
It is also an additional reward for creators working for illuvium!

4.All works will only be sold with prior official approval.
Not everyone can sell.
I think there should also be penalties for copying someone's work, etc.
It would be better to have a contract or something similar.

5.It would be nice if there was a 2% royalty for each NFT holder and creator for the sale of T-shirts, plates, and other goods!

Thank you!

Oh, thanks for the recommendation.

But this is not just me, there are many illustrations, sites, teams, etc. that have been created fan-made before.
I hope you understand that I am not blaming you, but there are those who are spreading the same love for the iluvium teams that have not been able to make the progress they want.

I think it would be a good motivation to release the game if there is some kind of reward for their efforts, even if it is just a role.

Selling as an NFT and allowing as a PFP in-game:

  • competes directly with Illuvitar product
  • can break immersion due to art style differences; Illuvium carefully curates this in-game and have previously stated that Illuvitars will be the only in-game PFPs.

Due to these two reasons, I don't see this getting approval from the team, even with community support.

On the other hand, I do think this could work for merch and is a cool way to engage artists in the community.

I would accept it if the team disagreed with it.

Yeah If this is acceptable to you, I'm still happy.
I really hope that there will be more opportunities for creators who love illuvium!
And I believe that's a very good thing for illuvium!

so I'd like them to separate what they can do for creators from what they can't do for creators.
I'm just offering ideas and would love to have someone else share more realistic ideas.
It would be great if Council members could come up with different ideas!

My initial thoughts are that it’s not ideal to compete with Beyond for avatars, but I think there’s still a lot of ways (merch, for example) that this could make sense.

Love the contests idea for community art. We already had some of that but im definitely supporting the idea of more!

Thank you everyone for your valuable opinions.
I believe it's important to sell them as NFTs, even if they can't be used as avatars in the game.
And I think we need the mark of illuvium.

In the case of NFTs, they can suddenly multiply many times over when a celebrity buys them on a whim, or they can reach incredible prices when a large investor like @dusky pebble buys them as an investment! hahaha🤣

Personally, I hope that those NFTs will be available in the future in the status gallery along with the trophies and NFTs that you can get by playing the game yourself!

I think its value will be enhanced by the fact that it will be seen by many people.
This would attract more creators, and from there, it could attract people who are not interested in Web2 and Web3 games!
NFT has great potential And sometimes there is a big surprise.🤣

It would be very good for the creators if there were also royalties for secondary sales.
I think all those things will have a very positive impact on the creators!

# rugged orbit Thank you very much! The only Council members I know of are <@573486761292857346...

There are several schools of thought. My primary thought is that allowing creators to earn a heavy royalty and everything is a great way to expand reach but die-hard fans of any franchise will prefer official merch to non-official which is the problem you are trying to solve.

I think limited time competitions work here where artists compete and then a handful are selected to be made into official merch lines and things.

It should be noted that artists can currently ask permission and create their own products as non official merch lines. Through this they'd gain 100% of the revenue. It'll likely have less buyers but even a 50% cut isn't necessarily worth it depending on their situation.

That makes me feel like this caters to smaller groups or individual artists which works a lot better in a competition format anyways since a majority of the artwork won't be good enough.

You'd also need to consider the workload on the team, someone needs to go and add it all to the merch store, do the QA, double check the colours and so on. So a less frequent and smaller batch makes more sense

I understand your point of view as well.
All I'm hoping for is more opportunities for more creators.
In the case of a contest, you could end up with mostly the same people.
I think Who knows what the possibilities are for what, in a world where a monkey NFT can be worth tens of thousands of dollars!

Yes, I do not want the team to have a lot of work too.
I think we need to clear up that issue.

If you ultimately think the contest is a good idea, I'm all for that too.
I'd like to try something first and then think about it again.

We hadn't considered it. Also I downvoted just cause this proposal needs to be reconfigured to be a bit more focused down. But I am in favour

With the work of art thing you could have a fan art gallery like a display room@where you can go in and view the art work and buy it for your own display room. People could visit your display room. As well. But only official Illuvium products are used in game

Is it possible to sell this as NFT?

For example.
Every 3months we hold a contest to select an individual illuvial.
We have more than 100 illuvials.
I think we can support the creators for years to come.

If we could sell several of the selected works as NFT, I think it would attract more attention.

I don't think most people will pay attention to it if it's just a cash prize for the creators,
We once had a contest on Twitter, but I don't think anyone remembers what works were chosen.

If they can buy the works themselves, I think more people will be interested.

Contest Ideas

  1. Accept and close entries for works
  2. Contest duration to be one month.
And we'll post all of their works on official website.
(The reason for the one month time frame is that this will increase the creators' visibility and it will help them.)
  3. Voting Method
    1. Each person can vote for one person every day.
    1. Voting period of one week after the end of the event
    1. Every three days, we will knock out some of the lower voted works. (I like this)
    1. Other

When will the contest be held?
This is not now with a small user base, if we did it now it would be pretty bad.
Q3 of 2024 with after illuvitars WAVE3 sales would be good time.

I want the contest to be a sustainable event on a large scale!
An event that only about 10 people attend and no one even remembers will bring nothing to the creators!
.

It will need resources for my idea.

  1. Creation of contest page
  2. Voting system that cannot be tampered with
  3. A system for selling prize-winning NFTs at auction
  4. A little marketing expense is required.

If the team does not have the necessary resources, Q4 of 2024 is fine
It is important to note that we are planning such an event!

If your winning entry was sold as NFT and 50% of it was given out as prize money, I think a lot of creators would take notice!
I think it will attract people who are not interested in games.
And if these events become larger and larger each time, they can be a great marketing tool for illuvium!
If there are other sales of goods, etc., that would be a plus for the treasury as well.

Shouldn't we have a bigger contest, even if it takes more resources, rather than having a contest that requires no resources at all and will not be remembered by anyone?
And I think it will be very attractive to creators!

About in-game avatars.
If you make 5 NFTs for each contest, you can make about 600 NFTs in total!
We also need to consider how much those NFTs will adversely affect the iluvium with 200,000 people playing in the future!

Some NFTs may be priced higher than T5 Rhamphyre if a well-known creator participates!
We also need to consider if this will be bad or good for the illuvitars.

I don't think it will affect me, but I know there's a lot of disagreement about in-game avatars.
It would be more valuable to the NFT if it could be made into an avatar.
But it doesn't matter if it can't be made into an avatar, if it can be made into an NFT, it will benefit many creators!
I support either idea.
If this idea is successful, it would be a plus for the DAO treasury.

I support whatever is good for the creators!
It doesn't have to be this idea.

In fact, there are some iluvials like Lynx that only have different colors and classes, so I think this should all be combined into one!
Since there are some less popular iluvials like Axon, we can have a contest with Atlas, Axon, and Axdon all together in one contest, so we can have a contest with fewer times.
Still, by my count, there were 37 different types, and at four a year, that would take nine years. hahaha😅
If we make 5 NFTs each time, that would be 185 NFTs in total.
