Physical pokémon-like Cards

Don't you think that Illuvium could come up with a "booster pack box" product? A physical collection of cards with stats, some game rules etc?
In this case, ideally, it would need to be mass produced and put on shelves everywhere in the world, side by side with the pokémon cards. No other way. I know it's a great task, but it's the way to do it in order to replace pokémon as a whole and get our game to new heights.

Maybe, this is something that should be done at the same time a studio creates a cartoon season for Illuvium (focused on children, just like pokémon), because kids need to look at the brand on that shelf, next to pokémon, and relate to a tv show, or else they won't go for it.

Personally I think we are way too early for this - mass adoption first, then merch products or real-world TCG

Either way - I would buy them!

(EXAMPLE - Disney Lorcana is just releas8ng now. Disney is a massive IP and this will be their first TCG thst took 4 years to develop - and the company has been around for a LOOOONG time)

Even companies like blizzard failed when they tried physical products. There is no need to even go in this direction. Selling digital goods has way more added value.

I am not sure about mass adoption, but as a collector I would appreciate the ability to obtain a card version of my Illuvitars over a D1skplate. One of my favorite things about MTG online was after I collected an entire set I had the option to be sent a physical copy of those cards I collected online.

I’m not sure how I feel about something like this right now. I think it would be a cool statement to stick to our guns with blockchain/NFTs for awhile. It’s kind of gimmicky to do this tho I’ll admit 🤷‍♂️

I would pay for some cards. While I dont think it is something the project should aim for now, ive enjoyed having Yugioh/Magiv/Pokemon cards since i was a kid 👍

Maybe once Illuvitars have a TCG we could add a physical variant to it. "Print your deck" after buying D1sks rather than buying physical packs. 👀

Could be fun but then you put the focus on Illuvitars rather than Illuvials so maybe that specifically is a bad idea... lol

yeah, I put the idea here for thinking of the future. Not now. After we have a full released game.
To do something of this magnitude would require a very heavy investor behind it. Illuvium would need to mass produce on a whole new level the physical trading cards and make sure every fcking store and newspaper stand has it side by side with the pokémon ones. there is no other way to topple them.
Here in Rio de Janeiro, there are pokémon cards being sold on every single toy store and newspaper stand in the entire city.

Pokémon certainly did cards well. Maybe in the future illuvium could do this. I would like them but it’s pretty niche and without big retail sellers like game stop they may not get the collectors.
