With both the (rumored) Apple VR headset upcoming and the Meta Quest 3 already announced, there is going to be a sharp increase in the number of people with VR capable hardware in the next year or so. Imagine exploring the incredible environments of Overworld in VR. It would be an amazing immersive experience for the player and a distinguishing factor for the game.

VR needs a lot more optimisation work. It can’t drop below 90fps, otherwise you’ll feel sick. But it’s possible in the future. Let’s just get the game out first.
