#Community Sub-Council Nominees
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
@nimble thistle : Hi, I'm Artemis, and I'm running for a spot on the community sub-council in the Illuvium DAO council elections. As an Illuvium-focused content creator, I have a deep passion for the Illuvium ecosystem and a strong commitment to transparency and clarity in governance. I believe that transparent and accessible governance processes are essential to the success of any decentralized ecosystem, and I am committed to helping the Illuvium community achieve this.
I have a wealth of experience in content management and team leadership, having managed teams of 50+ people and communicated across various platforms and teams while adhering to tight deadlines and high-quality standards. I believe that these skills make me a natural fit for the community sub-council, where I can use my expertise to assist the community in ideation, creation, and formatting of IIPs. Additionally, I would be responsible for reviewing and directing IIP/ICCPs to relevant sub-councils and ensuring the understandability and accessibility of Illuvium's governance processes in consultation with the community.
As an active member of the Illuvium community, I have a deep understanding of the importance of transparent and accessible governance processes. In the last election, I ran on a platform of transparency and clarity, and I have fulfilled my commitment to the community by creating a monthly newsletter and hosting monthly interviews with council members, despite not being elected. I am also a co-founder of Illuvialmaster, a website that provides the community with information and tools to enhance their Illuvium experience.
Overall, I believe that my dedication, experience, and commitment to transparency make me an ideal candidate for the community sub-council. I would be an asset to the Illuvium governance team, and I look forward to the opportunity to serve the community in this capacity.

@upper haven : As a person with close experience with individuals on the autism spectrum and other neurodivergent individuals, I have developed exceptional listening skills and empathy. These skills enable me to fully understand the arguments and perspectives of everyone, even if they are flawed. I have the ability to recognize the underlying root cause of an argument and adjust their perspective or come up with a different solution to the original problem. I deeply care about everyone in the community and am determined to help every voice, even the quiet ones, feel heard and actually be heard.
Despite my public content creator persona that may portray me as self-centered, I want to take my role as an Illuvium Community Council member as seriously as possible. I have a deep love for Illuvium and its community, and I believe that Illuvium has the potential to be one of the biggest games ever created, completely changing the game industry forever.
One of my proudest accomplishments was organizing and hosting the most highly praised Illuvium esports tournament to date. I worked hard to coordinate with all eight players, set up the commentators, and create a system for viewers to access each competitor's stream through Nightbot in the chat. Even when we faced technical difficulties such as video quality and mic issues, I was able to adapt and overcome these obstacles to ensure that the tournament was a success. This experience showcases my ability to lead a successful event and work collaboratively with others in a mentally demanding and high-pressure environment. This proving that when high-stress situations occur that are within my control to fix, I always rise to the occasion. The tournament allowed me to develop skills in problem-solving, communication, and organization that I believe will serve me well as an Illuvium Community Council member.

@craggy pawn : Hello! My name is Riskdeath and I am pleased to serve you! As a candidate for governance of ILV, I am driven by a strong passion for the project and a deep desire to contribute to its success. Although I do not have a background in computer science and I am not bilingual, I have learned a lot since discovering Illuvium two years ago, and I am convinced that my skills and personal qualities can bring real added value to the governance team.
I am a very positive person and have always sought to support the French-speaking community and the Illuvium community in every possible way. I have actively contributed by helping newcomers understand the project and organizing events to bring community members together. My goal is to promote inclusion, which I believe is essential to the success of an ambitious project like Illuvium. As a governance member, I would like to open the door to anyone who wants to get involved in the project, even if they do not speak English. I think it is important to have a balanced representation of the different communities that make up Illuvium, and I am committed to doing everything in my power to make this happen.
Although I do not have experience working on other projects, I have devoted a great deal of my time and energy to Illuvium. I am convinced that my passion and commitment to the project more than make up for my lack of technical training. I am ready and willing to learn and invest more to contribute to the project's success.
In summary, as a candidate for governance of ILV, I am an enthusiast of the project who brings significant contributions to the French-speaking community. I am a positive and committed person who believes in inclusion and diversity. Although I do not have a background in computer science and I am not bilingual, I am willing to learn and work hard to help Illuvium achieve its ambitious goals.

@ebon cradle : Hey there, it's me, Modern Llama! You might know me as the leader of the famous Lynx Army, but if you don't, no worries. I wanted to let you know that I'm running for the community sub-council!
One of my biggest strengths is being able to see all sides of an issue and empathize with everyone involved. I'm pretty good at staying cool and calm, even when things get heated. Plus, as a long-time Illuvium content creator, I'm always looking for ways to get more involved in the community!

@teal ingot :
Hey, my name is Matt commonly known as Oskamatt through my YouTube and Discord handles and I am running for the Community Sub Council. I have been around the Illuvium community and producing Illuvium content on YouTube for over a year now. I have made over 100 videos featuring Illuvium and the ecosystem. For a period of time, I was creating a weekly article called Illuvinews, where I filtered through all Illuvium content to provide the weekly highlights to the community. Through this content creation and immersing myself in the community, I have come to know the core community and Illuvium team over the past year. I have developed great relationships and trust within the community, and feel comfortable speaking up as to why certain ideas may not be feasible within the Illuvium ecosystem.
Outside of Illuvium I am an electrician by trade and have worked my way up to be a team leader in my company. I have experience in leading teams of up to 30 members and I am also in the process of completing a certificate in leadership and management. I will be able to bring the skills I have learnt during my experience and training, and implement these into the Illuvium council. As a leader and someone that people look up to, I pride myself on being very approachable and listening to all ideas that the team/community have. I am able to explain why their ideas either will work or not work at a level that everyone can understand.
If elected, I will be pouring my heart and soul into a project that I believe in. If I gain this opportunity I will give it everything that I can and will stand up for the best interests for Illuvium. VOTE for OSKAMATT

@pseudo veldt : I’m Justin, you may know me as b0tch. I am a User Experience consultant with a passion for Illuvium and its community. Over the course of my career I have held many roles, I have founded and run a non-profit, served as a director of a small software company, and I am currently running my own business as an independent UX consultant. In my younger years I co-led a counter-strike clan.
In my role as an Illuvium community member, I have helped craft IIPs and ICCPs that have successfully made it through the idea-to-voting process, with a focus on prioritizing the community's ideas over my own personal desires. I believe that I have a deep understanding of the community and its needs, and that I am able to synthesize multiple points of view into a coherent proposal.
My first-hand knowledge of the IIP/ICCP process will be a valuable asset as a community sub-council member, whose main responsibility is to refine and guide ideas from the community into a votable form.
As a UX designer, I am committed to making processes as easy as possible for users. In the context of Illuvium's governance system, I believe that the first epoch of Gov v2 will be particularly critical in defining and refining processes that are easy for the community to participate in.
I am excited about the possibility to serve as a community sub-council member for Illuvium. With my leadership experience, first-hand knowledge of the IIP/ICCP process, and expertise in UX design, I can make meaningful contributions to the community and help the community guide Illuvium towards continued success.

@willow sphinx : Hi, my name is Teloolah, and I am running for the Illuvium Community Sub Council. I have been part of the Illuvium community since January 2022 and have a deep passion for the game and its team.
I have sound experience and knowledge of human behavior, having studied and worked in early childhood and community services. My goal is to create an inclusive space where everyone has a voice and can contribute their unique perspectives. I am committed to representing and encouraging a wider scope of voices within the Illuvium community and ensuring that every member feels heard and valued.
As a candidate for the Community Sub Council, I plan to use my communication skills, including effective listening and questioning techniques, to ensure that all members are heard and their needs are addressed. I have experience working with teams of diverse backgrounds and beliefs and can navigate any challenges that may arise.
As a long-time gamer and sole parent, I bring a unique perspective to the community sub council. I understand the challenges faced by women in the web3 space, such as being heard and balancing their time and expectations with industry demands. I am committed to representing all members of the Illuvium community and ensuring that their voices are heard.
I believe that blockchain gaming provides an equitable playing field for individuals from all walks of life to come together and create a better future. Illuvium is the perfect place for this to happen, and I would be honored to add my voice and perspective to the community sub council.
Thank you for considering my application, and I look forward to contributing to the Illuvium community in any way I can.

@red copper :
I'm Blickter, I'm bad at selling myself, but I do understand Illuvium's governance system and community. Additionally, I know how to get proposals moved from inception to voting.
I firmly believe that every experience in life is an opportunity to learn, and I tend to treat my experiences that way. Many of the things I've found effective in the past epoch were sourced from non-traditional sources.
I have experience running guilds in World of Warcraft, which I found to be useful in the past epoch in terms of asynchronous communication, controlling messaging, and working collaboratively.
I've worked in a variety of blue collar industries, where production matters more than intention. To put this another way, I believe that if you aren't getting anything done, it doesn't matter what your opinion is or what ideas you had. I believe this has been valuable this past epoch, as councils are (rightfully) judged by their actions.
I believe the DAO could benefit from my experience and skill set in the coming epoch, and would consider it a privilege to continue to serve the DAO as a member of the Community Council.

@granite rivet :
Hello friends! You know me as Anorak. My name is Jay, and I am excited for this opportunity to run for community Sub-Council. Our DAO and the Illuvium ecosystem have come such a long way since I joined in July 2021, and I am passionate about helping to take us even further as your community advocate.
As a long-standing member of this community I have been witness to the highs and lows together - the anticipation, the delays, and the excitement. Throughout our shared journey, I've realized the need for a dedicated voice, someone who truly understands and represents the community's interests. Needless to say I was elated when the community sub-councel position was announced!
I have a background in communication and interpersonal mediation, including certification as a trainer in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, which is the artful blending of psychology, and specific use of language for influence, mediation, and life coaching. I have honed these advanced communication and interpersonal skills that will help me bridge the gap between the community, the main council, and the Dev Team. I also have experience in business ownership, management, and working as a first responder as a firefighter/paramedic which has equipped me with the ability to handle pressure and make crucial decisions in challenging situations.
As your dedicated Community Sub-Council member, I vow to not only be your advocate but also your conduit for change. I will engage with you, champion your ideas, and draft proposals on your behalf to ensure your perspectives are heard and respected. I am committed to making our DAO more inclusive, transparent, and dynamic than ever before.
I welcome any questions or conversations you may have, so please feel free to reach out to me via DM or ping me. Together, let's make our Illuvium experience the best it can be. Vote for me as your Community Sub-Council member, and let's embark on this exciting journey as one united force.
Thank you for considering my candidacy; I eagerly look forward to the opportunity to serve our community.

@stray path : Hello there! My name is Rickytan (a.k.a Ricky), and I am running for the Community Sub-Council! You may know me as the luckiest guy, or even being the inspiration behind “Illuvitar D1sk Battles”, but that is only scratching the surface!
For more than a year, I have been a passionate and dedicated member of this Community because I strongly believe in the future of Illuvium! In my opinion, my previous work experience, personality and creative ideas can offer value to the Council and contribute to our DAO’s success.
With over 10 years of experience in Sales, Customer Service, and Project Management, I understand the importance of a strong work ethic, collaboration, communication and problem solving. In addition, being customer-centric has led me to always act with integrity and continuously build long lasting and trustworthy relationships.
As a Condominium Board Director, I am able to actively listen to homeowners’ concerns, enabling me to make well-informed decisions to serve the best interests of our Condo Corporation. I would directly apply this practice towards always putting the interests of the Illuvium DAO first and foremost.
My focus as a Council Member will be ensuring everyone has a voice, and promoting equality & inclusivity for all, as we work to increase community engagement in the governance process. I plan to be the “bridge” between our diverse community and the other Sub-Councils by funneling ideas/feedback/viewpoints to facilitate the development of IIPs/ICCPs and aid in Council deliberations.
Thank you for joining me on this journey! It's time for your voices to be heard, and together, we can make a difference this Epoch! Vote for Rickytan!
Let's stay community strong and do what's best for the DAO!

@shut arrow :If you are looking for someone who knows everything that the public should know about the project and is familiar with helping people in the discord creating well-thought-out proposals, then I’m your guy!
I have taken part in this community for over 20 months now. I have soaked up information whenever I could and redistributed that on multiple occasions. In the process of making information more readily available, I co-founded Infoluvial and took on writing the fandom as a side project. I later transitioned to starting Illuvihub with a team of incredibly enthusiastic community members, all the while answering questions and writing all-inclusive guides about topics that were relevant at those times such as Illuvitars and Illuvium Zero.
Through looking up the information and internalising it, I feel comfortable saying that I may well be in the top 10 of community members when it comes to knowing all about Illuvium. Scrambling bits and pieces together and creating coherent articles or guides from them is what I have been doing all this time. I previously stuck to the sidelines and didn’t really bother with governance or being in the spotlight. This however changes with Governance V2, because the tasks of the community council are right up my alley.
Digging deep into what the community ideates upon and pointing those involved towards how that can fit into the project is imperative when helping someone write IIP’s for Illuvium. I know that I have the knowledge and flexibility of mind to put the current situation and new ideas together.
