Champion Suits should be sellable but...

I think the Champion Suits should be sellable.

However, I'd put:

• high royalties on it
• make it account bound for 1 year
• make it visible when inspecting the gear of another player that the suit was earned by player XYZ (so people know who payed for it and who owned it prior to them)

Suits that have been owned by well know Champions will be crazy valuable.

Imagine getting the Michael Jordans jersey. Everyone knows that it's not yours, but it's still fire to own it.

you can buy michaels jersey and thats dope, but no one buys any trophys that he's won, he keeps them (and when he dies his family keeps them)

I do get where your idea comes from, and I get u adding all the concessions of royalties, 1 year bound and visible history, but these additions sound a bit complex to make just for single item type that very few will ever have

obtaining a champion suit will come with many other prizes too, so its not like that person wont be financially rewarded already, personally feel it should just be account bound so that only actual champions can wear it (when u jump in a match u dont check where a skin came from, u take it at face value and play, only champions should be recognised as such imo)

thats my take, but if most prefer it to be sellable then in that case i'd rather it not be complicated further, just make it sellable from the get go and thats that

Yep good point. Both sides make sense.

Not selling because only Champions should wear it and selling because it's a collectible that you should be allowed to with it what you want.

Still, if we'll be able to sell an indicator on the person you're battling (like a Crown 👑) to see if he's earned it or just bought would be nice.

Yeah no, I agree with @celest ridge that would ruin the rarity completely and take away the meaning of possessing it.

I just feel if you own earn something and own it you should be allowed to do with it what you want.

Grant said the suit would be the champion (top of the leaderboard for a season)

So For me the suit is like winning the championship and should be transfered to the next champion when the next season is over.

Additionally for winning the suit for a season. I think there should be a nft created that has their name and what season they won (like a championship ring). If someone wants to sell that personal nft then go ahead.

Not everything in the game has to be a tradeable nft. That's just my opinion.

I'm not a fan of having something that is not tradeable.

There is a lot of people selling their championship rings and olympic medals. If you won something you should be able to sell it.

There will be record books, there will be other places where we can have champions. But making prizes not-tradable is awful idea in my opinion.

I really like what Rocket League is doing. Imagine something like this in Sanctum Mesa where all the Champions are.

If they also win prize money I am cool with account bound. If they dont then I'm not. I like the idea of 2 prizes. One sellable and one not tho. Eg 2 suits, a soulbound one and a not soulbound one

If we get a small indicator. Like a Title hovering over the player and the color orange 🟠 for example stands for Champion would be enough for me.

That way people know instantly if he earned it or just bought it.

Honestly, if I would walk around the game and see someone in a Champion Suit and then see that his Title is one of a peasant. I would challenge him and try to humble him by destroying his Deck 😈 Sending a message. Wearing a Championship Suit doesn't make you a Champion.

that would be an acceptable middle ground I agree,

you could be a champion one season and lose your rank next season, its written somewhere on ur record that u were champion once but wont be in your name (because u arent right now) and maybe u sold ur skin so no one will know (which is fine, u chose to sell it and at least u can always flex the name colour or whatever for that season)

But whales can already flex with T4 land, Dark holo illuvials, Holo blazing ramphyre Illuvitars etc. I personnally think that having something in the game that is unaccessible with money and can only be acquired through skill is actually really healthy, giving then that Whale the incentive to even try to get good at the game.
