Illuvitars is sort of the opposite of a PFP project even though an Illuvitar can be used as a profile pic. In its current form, it's a card game with an unlimited supply. Collectors like myself crave scarcity, rarity, and exclusivity. A membership to a private club. For that we need scarcity at 10k or under. We need an Illuviam collection that sits in the top 5 PFP rankings alongside Yuga and get all the free publicity of simply being at the top. The top is where Illuvium's rightful place is, and I’d like to see a project that has the exclusivity that attracts all the whales and influencers from across GameFi.

I have some concepts of what this airdrop will look like and what we can do with such a community if this is something that the team wants to go for.

But Illuvium isn't a private club though right? It's a game studio. Shouldn't the focus of the team be on making games, not on coming up with things to justify the purchase of expensive/exclusive NFT's?
If the ethos of the team is to try to attract as many people as possible from web3 as well as the general public with free to play options, and cheap ways in to the Illuvium 'universe', is it not counter intuitive to also try to attract the high priced, exclusive members club people as well? Generally speaking I feel like companies go for one or the other right?
Why do you think we need that kind of audience as well? (Genuinely asking!)

@astral nest Looks like I'm able post now but no idea what triggered that. To your questions, Board apes minted for 0.08 eth and Megas are priced above that, so there would be no additional expensive mint to justify. An airdrop wouldn't divert resources as it can be community run. It just allows us to have that exclusivity which many of us desire. This PFP project would not interfere with the game just as Lizards does not prevent onboarding the masses. We can keep them separated from gameplay. I imagine it like this... we can shoot for a Pokenmon level game, and a Board Ape level PFP.
