Illustrated the process from Gov V2 Doc:https://docs.google.com/document/d/18EAl-mE_SW5EuV_wysa2cYE9ZNJrCMiifTuMOs5qw1Y/edit

** Community Sub Council **
One major change that I propose is to have the community sub-council be in charge of guiding the Idea to Proposal process more closely, taking the role of community manager from the previous document. I think if this is done an official snapshot vote would not be necessary since the community sub-council would be gate keeping the process.

Two little things I would change:

  • some ideas might be really good and needed but they don't get enough support, maybe community sub council can decide that even that idea should be talked about more?
  • hardcoding a number like "50 likes" is not a good idea in my opinion, but I don't have a better one.

Not sure 50 is the right number and would most likely need to change as community engagement increased.

I know we've talked this over quite a lot - I like the idea. 50 votes IS currently too high, but that value will inevitably need to be tweaked over time anyways, particularly with regard to gameplay related proposals (which will probably require a separate set of rules TBH).

I do think we should have a single track for proposals - Unformatted or incomplete ideas should be posted in #1020759212172775464 , with proposals intended for voting (in IIP format) posted in a separate channel.

This plays into the notion that not all ideas need to be proposals, and it is the responsibility of the person bringing a proposal forward to decide whether it's "just an idea" or something they want voted on. This also put the responsibility for formatting on the person raising the idea, which the community sub-council should assist with.

It's currently a problem that we have 2 separate forums for proposals - #1020759212172775464 and #809220563397902346 . Gathering sentiment twice for proposals that begin in #1020759212172775464 (by moving them to #809220563397902346 after they've already gained sentiment) is strictly wasteful IMO, and unnecessary. A consequence of what I've suggested is that we'd need #809220563397902346 to be open for community posting, with the requirement that anything posted there be in IIP format.

Other than that I like it, nice work!
