This would be a turn based chess-like game inspired by the game Pokemon Duel.
Perfect for mobile. Imagine catching your illuvials in the overworld and being able to use them in this game on the go.
A lot of strategy needed in deck building and in each match. Each Illuvial will carry over their unique abilities and characteristics adjusted to fit this gameplay style.

Thoughts?

If it’s possible why not? This could be a great feature

I played a lot Pokemon go and the old Pokémon games 🙌😊🤩 so there could be a huge amount of user

I want to give you huge kudos for your effort. However, suggestions like these all suffer from 1 problem. We need to finish 3-4 games before we can even start considering more games.

But IZ should also work for iOS… that would be also a huge step

# frank cypress I agree this is a must. I really don’t see why the overworld can’t be ported to ...

Hey guys, good thread. @frank cypress and @lyric elbow I enjoy your channels! Atlas_Thug
I also plan to add a game idea later on, but before I would like to raise a provoking question in this circle here:

Can you imagine an IZ Web2 spin off?

It would solve the issue of @hardy yarrow, since Illuvials won't be NFTs and so can be easily collected/trained.
It would also solve the (pain in the a..) issue of @latent idol, since it could directly offered in the Apple app store.
And of course it would also pump the potential playerbase from currently 7.000 land holders to x millions hungry casual gamers instantly 😉

But how that? And above all how to achieve this with as little development effort as possible?
So if you look at the genre of city-builder-combat-games the game loop is generally:

(1) city building -> (2) research/train your combat units -> (3) fight for loot and glory (PvP, later clan vs. clan) -> invest the loot and back to (1) or (2)

Back to Nijafes game idea, its (obvious) a crucial part within casual gaming - the PvP part. So Nijafes idea would possibly do it, the ported autobattler would do it (no idea how far we they went here) or I also could image of a 'Dawn of Titans' like epics battles and so on, there are a few to think of... 😉

But of course we also need to handle the issue of @austere solar here (first take care of the core 3-4 games). And here comes the best part: IMO for a MVP (of IZ Web2 version) the fighting part does not necessarily have to be ready.
With IZ we already have a fresh and dope looking city builder. We just need to add buildings for researching and training Illuvials (again: no NFTs!), where the gamer is motivated to play the game a few months longer than only the city builder with no purpose (because he/she knows a PvP part will be added later). And since the graphic work is done, he can enjoy the art for every researched Illuvial in between.

# hard jacinth Hey guys, good thread. <@115282490033176581> and <@272931367556481024> I enjoy...

Thank you!
These are some good ideas. I’m not sure I like the idea of making a part of the game completely web2, but then again if you’re playing non NFT land I guess that’s basically web2 already. And a web2 version could generate revenue for ILV holders without those players extracting from the system.

This does make me think more about how to incorporate my proposed game into land. Maybe a new building could be placed on the land and others can visit you land and go to the building. Something like a “gym” in pokemon.

I do think its very important to find a way for mobile only players to catch Illuvials, although I still dont understand why the OW cant be ported to mobile, if Fortnite can do it I dont see why Illuvium can’t

i dont think they will do web2 spin offs but the free versions are essentially web2 but you own your assets. like nijafe said free ilz has no benefits to the whole eco system. free ow you own your characters then you can go fight them. i dont think they will make any free standing game web2 tho because thats going backwards. ilz free should be able to go on to apple stores there no nft requirements

I do have to side with Josh on this one though. I have played pokemon duel and the genre is completely different from that of your classic autochess for sure.

However if arena is on Mobile and illuvium zero is on mobile. Your next mobile game needs to be something highly accessible. It cannot be a deep strategy game like pokemon duel since arena already fills that role.

Im just saying pokemon duel would be game 6 or 7 if u consider the current landscape and what Illuvium should produce next.

Hmm, interesting, buuut we've got with Arena already a (auto) Chess game.

I'd say when doing something mobile then a really different gameplay and not a different chess game.

Maybe something like Tamagochi and the plants that you harvest in the Overworld can be used to improve stats (with effort) over time and care. Like a little bonding experience and perfect for your kid to do something productive on the phone 😂 (also would add more demand to plants).

  • Add a step counter that simulates going for a walk with your pet Illuvial and you've got yourself a mini fitness game too. Which would lay the foundations to build out later a Pokemon Go style game 😂🤌
